  1. Sorry for this Lads I am going to derail this thread for good reason! Last wednsday evening 14th one of my Jack Russell's was taken from the yard where i work on the eastern outskirts of Cork City, S was picked up at 5 in the evening outside the warehouse i was working in repairing my gear, after nearly a week of searching and posting flyers, canvasing, and following uploads i have nothing! not a single sighting, so i am turning to Arbtalk as a last resort, please copy and paste Missing jack russel Bitch ?200 RewardFor Sale in Cork - DoneDeal.co.uk http://bitka.com/findpoppy/poppyposter.pdf Sorry I am too tired to put the links in properly so if anybody can share Anywhere in the ireland and uk at least, on face book, twitter or any other sites, hunting or lost dog sites i would appreciate it…. i have put off work looking for her over the last 6 days and have to Start back into it tomorrow….. if someone of the moderators wants to move this post then grand, just too tired to start a fresh thread….. thank you all in advance and sorry I've not beenon in a while!
  2. Sweet!
  3. HI Graham,as i indicated i was not firing a shot over your bow just at the guys who swoop in" for the firewood. Called in to a customer last week to see how her hedges were doing and what other jobs were planned for work soon ,she mentioned she had the man who delivers timber had cut up a tree that had fallen ,for her…… (you can guess where this is going!) so we wandered down chatting, came around the corner as she explained how he was so good and left her half the timber, and low and behold all the branches left scattered across the lawn sawdust everywhere and her half of the timber about 2 cubes of the smaller branches……funny that half a 60 foot beech is about 2 cubes…..and she gave him €200! so i informed her that she had been done… and it would take about 2 hours to chip up the mess and clear the sawdust….. that he by right should have sorted! BUT when Hubby came home he rang me and asked if i would supply all timber in future at a rate i saw fit, and no one else would be setting foot on the property to do work,he also apologized for asking me to clear someone else's mess:thumb up: They have been good customers and unusually for Ireland get me in 3 times a year for their hedges and always give a few quid to the lads when leaving! So as you can understand i get het up by the "for the timber" shysters! Apologies if you thought i was aiming my comments at you! Obviously you are not in this bracket!
  4. Graham,While I applaud your good fortune there are elements in the trade that "do it for the wood" and to be honest on fallen timber that poses no risk crack on and good luck! but when i get called in to remove timber from someones Roof because some idiot thought" i can do it for the wood"it gets my goat! this puts us at risk clearing up your mess tying up our time and resources, not to mention upsetting arranged work schedules. Twice in the last year alone I have had the pleasure of this experience, I feel it is irresponsible of you to post as you did, promoting undercutting of pricing, potentially lethal work practice, and giving bad example to younger members, While i do not direct these comments at you directly i feel this needs to be said for others to see and maybe realize the risks involved,if you are fully ticketed and Insured and competent in takedowns and removals then no problem Apart from the perceived value of the wood? Really….. i take it you took it home split and stacked it,left it season in a dry shed for 1or 2 years, loaded it and delivered it to your paying customer, not dropped it straight from the removal site ? Well have said my piece and i'm sure most will agree that these people are doing themselves and the industry no favors turning a quick few quid in an irresponsible manner, and yes i rose to the bait:thumbdown:
  5. To be honest they are part of the kit, worn for "suitable work".I have my knee flex type c's as well and a pair of very heavy Oregon's for the dirtiest Jobs….never any harm in having a spare pair on board especially withe the rain this year.
  6. Type a's the c's are very heavy!got mine locally try their site arborist.ie. i got 48 size and ima 32 inch waist with 34 leg, and they are a good fit, but! always get sawdust in my right boot….. other than that a great fit ! the zip vents at the back of the kneesmake all the difference!
  7. Got a pair of these a few weeks ago….They are the dogs nuts! but in black and blaze, best of all not too pricy and decent repair patches for all layers!

  13. Hmm,can you post a video of this? When you do it:001_tongue: No Seriously, what about a load handler? they are advertised on here, i can only see grief as the result of trying your idea,But if you want to do it start with a small amount of chip to see how it goes then try it with more, problems will arise with the rear end of the pickup if it is a tub type as the chip will spread out and may damage pickup….a hilux "Oh Bugger" moment, But nothing venture nothing gain…..if it works for you and makes your life easier then win win!
  14. Nice use of the rope by Bob…. not been in a situation that requires it, but i'm sure something will come along:thumbup1: Always good when someone shares their tricks, never seen anyone do that on a zip, simple when you know….. and cheaper than a fence or wall, thanks for an informative video!

  21. 33 1250 15 mt's at 32 to 35 psi might up it a bit in the summer months for economy or heavy loads.
  22. cat did a batch of pink mini diggers 3 ton i think most pinched in the country!
  23. running bc150's for over 12 years, you need strict daily routine…. leaf blower from engine bay to front twice a day if hitched to chip trailer/ box, visual checks at startup, back in the yard with Low air pressure give it a really good going over in both directions, check fins with a backlight to check for blockage damaged fins ect, a kettle of boiling water will test the rad cap, make no mistake this is not being fussy, it will cost in excess of 2K TO DO A REBUILD, and thats on the cheap. i have done this faithfully for years no matter how tired or busy i am, never had an issue even last summer in sweltering heat, the one concession you can make is to remove the blanking plate on the opposite side to the controls, other wise don't go cutting holes in the hood as it is designed to run on convection as well as the fan, this aids oil cooling also, if in doubt pop the rad out get it tested and rebuilt if needed…. cheapest fix…. !they are a bullet proof design and will last years if looked after properly! hope this helps and you get it sorted! Btw Vemeer UK are spot on and will assist you with any issues, Ask for Sonny;01933274400.
