  1. Heh Heh…can you loler this please.. needs must but then necessity is the mother of all cockups…..price of job versus rope… crack on:big grin:

  4. See it every day, i mentally go tut tut, throw an eye over the job done next time i am passing, out of curiosity , other than that not fussed. Hrses for courses imo…..the only way it affects me is to make sure my "public" view is of a tidy, safe and neat job! I do not advertise as i would need new gear every time a white low roof transit passes, and my work speaks for itself, therefore i am as busy as i like, if i was bloody minded i may do something but i rarely have time on site to stop and photograph my own work let alone someone else's……. LET EM AT IT! They will end up doing harm to themselves…. A local "landscape company"keeps getting me to price work for him, never comes through with the work ….. his eldest son on a job no less….ran a Saw through his nike chainsaw safety runners…… clean through!Across the arch….then in the ensuing spasms of agony got two fingers mangled for good measure….. went to a+e said it happened at home… So no need to get antsy about them…….. not that i would wish that on anyone….

  9. It is not often i feel i have something worthy to contribute,But…..Surfing the net and tripped over this….. fascinating …well worth a look! Remember we are merely custodians……. here's the jist…. The Khasi Living Bridges of Meghalaya, India. This living in bridge takes generations of the Khasi people to create and will serve them for some 500 years. The roots of the Indian fig (Ficus Benghalensis) are supported on hollowed out betel nut trunks and directed across the river to take root on the opposite bank. It takes decades of tending before it becomes strong enough to carry people …..It takes so long that the people who planted the tree may never see it become the bridge that will carry their decedents across the river. An ultimate sustainable structure, it is one of the many living bridges of Meghalaya in north-eastern India. Meghalaya, meaning 'Abode of Clouds', is possibly the wettest place in the world where the bridges must withstand torrents of powerful water during the monsoon. Interestingly, these bridges are built in a matriarchal society. In the Khasi language a tree is masculine, but when it is turned into wood, it becomes feminine. Generally in the Khasi language when something becomes useful, its gender becomes female.Love thee logic here:lol: Meghalaya's Living Bridges…. copy and paste this link if it does not get sorted by the internet pixies:001_tongue: Khasi Living Bridges, Meghalaya, India

  21. Ah we are still in recession…… Of course the rescue crews have to carry so much gear it's a wonder they managed to reach them, i would think one lad with a few ropes and harness would have reached them in a few minutes…..
  22. :blushing:i've been on a singing rock for the last 12 months, and while it filled a gap (Last harness wore out old buckingham) cash was tight so got the singing rock, but non replaceable bridge, bridge is getting a bit scruffy, and i'm finding since i have upped my game in srt it is not really practical, not many options for hanging kit, cutting on the hips and today put my back out on awkward angles, so local over the counter choices are tree motion v2,tree motion s light, skylotec kolibri, petal sequoia, treejack, tree hog, weaver leather, stein vega. Would like rope bridge so i can make it adjustable and replaceable, plenty of kit hanging tabs, suspenders for chugging, rigging …. flat arse! so to me it seems a tree motion v2 is the logical choice, or the light, i would prefer more padding back Support……. thanks for your time and opinions, i will try on a few, asap. but would appreciate further ideas….
