  1. There's a trommel screen designer/manufacturer in Sheffield who makes reasonably priced ones aimed at what you want to do... http://www.trommel.co.uk/
  2. Don't forget it will need to be inspected regularly by an IPAF approved inspector, you'll need to provide training to those who hire it (unless you're hiring it with an operator), legally those hiring it will need to have the correct IPAF qualification as well. Lot of extra admin - will you get the work to justify it?
  3. Cutting up Sycamore...
  4. Sounds like Dave dowson wants to spend more time with his family - can't blame him.
  5. PracBrown Instant hedge - it's grown in lined trenches & they lift it in 2.5m sections with an established rootzone. They can plant 50 linear meters a day. It's not cheap but they grow I the nursery for density not height, so you get hornbeam, beech, laurel that's 2m high & 0.5m wide instantly.
  6. I had it last December (2014), to help ease pain, stop the joint locking etc. Was off work for 6 weeks (base when you work for self), told my knee consultant at Harlow it was all they could do for me and I should consider changing my job!! Got a second opinion at Hichinbrook hospital at Huntington, who said the joint has collapsed - keyhole made no difference, there is only one option which is a replacement knee. I'm scheduled for surgery end of February. Getting a high tech ceramic knee. Won't be able to drive for 6 weeks, off work 8 - 12 weeks But no more pain, no locking joint and a knee that will last 15 - 20 years....
  7. Will send direct message - just getting my Starbucks.
  8. Norway Maple or Sycamore?

  10. It's free if you only have 3 staff & a full licence is very well priced.
  11. It's an Irus Deltrak, fitted with a heavy duty 42" flail deck. Currently fitted with 36 back-to-back flails but can also be fitted with delta or hammer flails. Remote control up to 300m from operator. Able to work on banks upto 60 degrees. I offer a national service with the machine. Details here: http://horticman.co.uk/irus-deltrak Matt
  12. I swear by this....
  13. Try ecoplugs, expensive but not affected by the rain & very effective.
  14. I suffered a spinal compression injury last July - crushed disc at L5 and spinal tear at S1. Combination of 3x spinal nerve blocks, very, very strong painkillers (Tramadol, codine, Oramorph & Grabapentin) & £40/session Physio sessions which involve TENS, acupuncture & deep tissue massage, has helped. Still taking the pain meds and not trying to be superman, seeing the Physio every 2 weeks and taking the pain medication....
  15. Don't forget you'll need a tacho......
  16. I've been extracting and splitting since October....
  17. The LR Defender: "best4x4xFar" Yes, it hasn't got airbags, comfortable seats, cruise control like the Japanese pickups BUT it does exactly what it says on the tin. Day in, day out...
  18. Phil Newson of PR Newson has a big Jenz 30" capacity (I think) that has been installed on a 15+ ton 360 tracked excavator http://www.chipping-contractors.co.uk/page19.html
  19. Blanked the egr valve on my td5 130, removed the cat & put a straight through exhaust on - fuel economy got better, defender pulled better & sounds great!

  21. Hi Jon, the sleeve used to snag & jam on the drum. So when the husky was removed for a service at Bowyer winches, it was removed...
  22. I sell about 12 tonnes of Verdo horse pellets a year. Very popular, better than sawdust, straw or hay & lasts longer.
  23. Hi Treewolf, Actually it's more than £8K..... I spoke to Wolfgang Tibus recently and you also need wheels... Basically: "the price for the portals is 10500 Euro excl. tax + shipping. This includes also the new HD axle shafts front and rear and also the extrta braces." We make the portals with the bolt pattern 5x130 mm for Mercedes wheeled, We can also provide the wheels & recommend the: Our 8x16 double bead lock wheels are 600 Euro each. (5x wheels @ €3K + VAT) They come with 65mm offset to keep the track as narrow as possible. (2,0m) 19% VAT IN GERMANY..... Then you need tyres to fit the wheels.........
