Hi I have done quite a bit of resin work and if it was me I would take a sharp chisel to that resin on the top to expose the crack again ,we were having a hard time filling cracks on a heap of coasters we made and we phoned Easy Composites and they advised a thinner viscosity resin but cant remember what one we also use a 2ml syringe to inject the resin into cracks works real well ,good luck and do post some pics of the finished slab.   4. Yeah get a roofers torch and a few boards and just have a go a stiff brush then oil ,did quite a lot of burning on chainsaw carvings and a summer house I like it but brushing is an important part of the process just like fractle burning now cladding done like that would be super cool

  7. Very soft and just doesn't last rots very quickly ,Lime for anything inside and Cedar , Doug Fir for outside obviously there are more timbers you can use ,Grinling Gibbons his carvings in Lime are totally stunning well worth a look . Cheers. Mark
  8. Hi mate the box is about 7ft tall and the same wide and about 10ft long will measure and take some photos tomorrow and I have an Arrowsmith kiln unit with all the drying schedules so hopefully just hang it on the back wall and way to go
  9. So watching the vid it only seems to have a small circular blade all that machine and it dont look like it could cut wide slabs such a shame

Hi yeah I am but I have an Arrowsmith Jnr unit to start with got all the instructions and drying schedules to go with it so going to give that a go first just need to unbolt the fridge stuff and run some power,and find some nice saw logs ,I have some burr mullberry but yeah on the lookout for some nice saw logs will keep you posted on how I get on.

  14. So I got my cant hoom from Chris Forestry Ltd £74 ,nice thick chunky wooden handle .

When I worked in my tiny workshop in my garden I would always leave it till 10am on a week day before I started up my saws and never on a sunday but I have older unwell next door but back when I was 18 ish we lived just down the road from 2 churches effing every sunday morning woken up by the bloody bells so is that an issue ,I am not into church nor are a lot of people so where do you draw a line noise is noise we have people down the lane from us and most sundays they cut fire wood for themself dont bother me I think if you want or need to work on a sunday fine if the job is near houses a quick door knock on say the weekend before to let people know and get their heads round it is good PR .

So at last I have got myself an old fridge box its in real good shape just need to dismantle the fridge stuff and install my kiln unit so I have been wondering if I should get or make some sort of racking for in it or just stack and sticker like normal ,super chuffed it cost me £550 delivered to my yard
  18. Where are you in the country I have a 4ft alaskan and bar with an 880 would be up for helping for a share .
