    So Woodmizer charge almost 500quid for a day when most of their kit is expensive that takes the piss if you ask me I bet Chris at Woodland Mills wouldnt do that .

    Hi I need someone who has a 8 wheeler flatbed with a hi ab who is up for moving some crates of timber and prob some planks from just over the Dartford crossing to Blandford in Dorset I need it done ASAP there will most likley be 2 trips if anyone is up for this or knows someone who might be please PM me Thanks Mark

    Hi Thanks guys for the comments ,so Will C there isnt much control over where it goes ,you paint a bicarb and warm water soloution on the board between the electrodes and it just kinda goes for it I will take some vids ,been looking for a cheap GoPro so I can try and do vids of that kind of thing ,we did it in the dark one evening around 6ish and it was so cool ,so if anyone has a gopro they dont want use give me a shout and maybe we could have a swap .     I have always had this when milling on my own the weight of the saw tends to drop the cut for the last few inches try leaning on the inner mill frame I think thats what Rob D said to me but it only happens when milling on my own hope this kinda helps

    Hi guys so I haven't posted any pics of what I have been doing for a while so thought I would, this is Atlus Cedar that quite likes the Litchenburging ,now I can't decide to put some glow in the dark resin in it or not going to cut it up and make a box out of it like a small treasure chest .     Oh well no worries ,there is a nice Treka Saw ,and this totally mad thing its like an Alaskan bandsaw ,that you can then stand on end and use like a workshop bandsaw totally cool but not very wide cut cant remember what make it was .

    I would go with Muttleys advise get an orbital sander and maybe some wax polish remover ,Strip then Sand 120 grit up to 400 should do wipe off with spirit then apply a finish , Colron do a good water based lacqure that is hot coffee cup resistant I have tested it .

    I have the Woodland Mills HM130 Max and its ace but the Norwood you can add Hydrolics and a log moulder so you could mill your lumber change the mill head for moulder and crack on and build a log cabin,garage etc I asked Woodland if they would concider doing similar but as yet no go thats the only advantage I can see

    So the small strips of woodland that I try to manage are Ash, Sycamore and Cherry ,the Ash that was felled before die back arrived are now sprouting from the root plate at the mo they are only whips but its looking like they may be resistant hopefully ,so we are keeping an eye on them and I will obviously keep you all informed .

    Good luck with it ,what part of the country are you in as there is a sawmill near me they have been there for ever and they have 3 Stenners so should be worth talking to them ,they are called Ridleys and they are in Ansty Dorset.

    Nice Cherry butt I have a nice size Cherry to mill as soon as we get a nice day hopefully monday will be ok got to mill it with the Alaskan should be fun havent used it in a while will do the 880 good

    So I have had big dogs all my adult life always clean up after my dog but cats nobody cleans up after cats I have a house that overlooks my yard and they have a cat who likes to use the sawdust round my sawmill as a toilet I never see the little B#####d and there is not always time to sweep the sawdust and why should I its my yard so yeah I think Cats are much worse

    Hi I have access to a lot of Mahogany of different species from a mate of mine who has been importing for like 40yrs I will send him those photos and see what he thinks thats if I can make the link work as I am not known for my computer skills if you do find out what it is and want any more do give me a call .Cheers Mark

    Nice but I would have prob put resin instead of glue just done some place mats /coasters with glitter in the resin I will take some photos tomorrow

    Hi Thanks guys I bloody hate those hairpin legs they will scratch most floors and just look crap ,some big old cast iron legs from some old machine with the right top look cool .

    It's been a while since I posted any pics of my work so ,getting ready for our first country fair in almost 2yrs and a small Elm coffee table ,it's from the 2nd log that I milled when I first got my alaskan and some builders rescued it from the river near me ,hope you like it ,making a similar one but a tad bigger .     Have a look at a website called Free Man of the Land its full of very helpfull stuff about fighting back against this kind of thing and more very insitefull reading Good Luck got to fight for your rights let me know if you want a soundsystem and some punk rockers for the weekend you could spread a rumour that you are so fed up you are thinking of selling to said punk rockers that may get them to think twice lol
