When I worked in my tiny workshop in my garden I would always leave it till 10am on a week day before I started up my saws and never on a sunday but I have older unwell next door but back when I was 18 ish we lived just down the road from 2 churches effing every sunday morning woken up by the bloody bells so is that an issue ,I am not into church nor are a lot of people so where do you draw a line noise is noise we have people down the lane from us and most sundays they cut fire wood for themself dont bother me I think if you want or need to work on a sunday fine if the job is near houses a quick door knock on say the weekend before to let people know and get their heads round it is good PR .

Have fun. Mark
  16. Load of crap where do they get these people from ,top notch kit but that coffee table the legs just looked wrong and that aeroplane planter was going in the right direction but up close was all lumpy ,and that matey cutting Burr Elm by hand one min he was hand sawing and the next time you see the bit of timber its all planned up I know its Telly and they can only show so much but just be honest and say other processes were used ,just like that other TV thing Britons Best Woodworker ,What did you guys think of it ?
  17. So I just had 2 saws in the shop with new petrol problems and the mateys in the shop were saying that the only surefire way around fuel going stale and jelly like etc is to use an Aspen type fuel but at £20 for 5 lts its expensive so Why is it so expensive I would use it all the time but milling with it would be soooo expensive so what can we do as an industry to make things better .
  18. Shame you are so far away or I would have come and helped but if you already have someone who knows chainsaws then if he has a saw big enough a chineses mill is not that expensive so you could just get one and have a go .
  19. So if you dont mind me asking how much was that box ,as I was offered on very similar bot a whole intackt box with double doors on one end in nice condition delivered to my yard for £550 that kinda looked like a good deal what do you guys think
