  1. I should imagine so but best take some cash all the same. Had a problem paying with card year before last at Arb Show. But that was due to my card issuer, (they thought I'd died so canelled the card).
  2. Reminds me of a deck chair; would look good outside a beach hut.
  3. Had hoped to camp over but am pet minding, so it'll have to be one day only. Which one i'm not sure yet.
  4. I like it and just the right colour too.
  5. Put of interest, was the client commercial or private?
  6. I've heard decapitation works wonders. Cuts it off dead.
  7. So are we going to be seeing farmers, driving down lanes like gangster wrappers?
  8. Nice. Now it just needs some Daktari stripes.
  9. Nope. Been back in Blighty for four days now. Just getting back to normalised sleep patern. Going to bed around 10pm is ok. But getting up at 4 or 5am is not my cuppa. Mind, I caught some great sunrises.
  10. Quicker snedding.
  11. SE Spain
  12. Last few weeks I could've said boiling & sunny in day, (38-46+°C is just far too hot) and boiling & moonlit at night, (only 26+°C. Now it's cloudy but bright and a manageable 15°C.
  13. Hope you get it sorted. It'll be a sod if it turns out to have been a dirty fuel filter. Sorry to have asked about harnesses, then not called in to try. Found myself in Lakes, so collected my own from there. If you ever get the chance, the Barranc de L'Infern is a grand day out.
  14. Because, when it's time to add an extension to their own property, even planning officers need a builder.
  15. I do like paper maps; my preference being the A-Z series. But I've been using them for years and had got used to particular colours for certain designations of road. Bought a 2013 atlas and they've changed all the colours round. Plus they've skimped on the ring-binding and gone with glued spine. Which results in west-east joins being lost in the great shadowy devide. Was once given a new Sony satnav, only to find it needed an immediate update before it would function. After the update process failed several times. I look on the net for help, only to find Sony had recently pulled out of the satnav market; and there wasn't a software ungraded available. Hense it became an expensive present, which was not only unusable but unsaleable too. They tried to return it to the Sony shop for refund but were turned away. Now I know Sony used to make great mid range speakers. But that was the last Sony equipment they or I have ever purchased. Crap pre-sales & after-sales service, from a once reliable company. After that debarckle, I went off the notion of owning a satnav. There's been a few time I wish I'd had one. But then remembered the bother I had with the only personal example. I like the idea of having an iPhone app but first I need an iPhone. I could get the 'Nav Free' app for the iPod but I'd have to upgrade to IOS 6, which uses Bing Maps not Google Maps. I just don't get on with Bing. Looking on the bright side, the iPhone 6 is on its way. So iPhone 5s are going to be cheaper at some point. Mind, I recently bought a £9 Nokia PAYG from Tesco. Last time I went to Spain, my mobile didn't work. Which was a damned nuisance. Lots of faffing around looking for people. This time, Orange couldn't guarantee a signal with a Motorola. So I bought something which would and did work; and is cheaper than Orange. Decisions, decisions... do I get a third phone & load 'Nav Free UK & Nav Free Spain'? Or just open a phone shop.
  16. You can get news, (and other - sport, motoring, etc.) media on them. But they're not much use for shade eyes on a hot day or wrapping crockery when moving house. As to tea. I suppose if you had a mug big enough, you could stir with an iPhone. Then again, maybe not.
  17. The Oregon Multicut isn't as fast cutting as the others. But will stay sharp for longer due to having three times the chrome on the top plate.
  18. Partly depends on gauge of bar, as can be seen below. Have a look over at 'chainsawbars'. 10" bar: 39 DLs, 3/8", .043" 12" bar: 44 DLs, 3/8", .043" Stihl PMM3. Oregon same as above but shorter cutters. Oregon Multicut, 3/8", .050", 14 bar: 50DLs, 3/8", .050" Oregon Multicut. Though how the 170 is going to run a 14" is a wonder.
  19. I like the idea of using a chainsaw's powerhead like an axe. But with a sausage roll in place of the bar & chain. If the tree falls over, either the sausage is over-cooked, frozen solid or the tree got board and fell as a way of making something differenr happen. This last one, is partly dependent on the tree being sentient. Mind, if the tree fails to fall over. It could just mean the sausage needs more cooking or isn't frozen yet or the striking angle is incorrect or more likely than the others - the sausage is blunt. Question for the experts here. After sharpening, how does one correctly gauge the tension of ones sausage? I mean, after correct cooking/cooling, should ones sausage have a slight sag or be stiff?
  20. I remember him right back from 'Mork and Mindy' through the tragic roll in 'The Fisher King'. A funny guy and a haunted soul.
  21. My 11yr. old nephew knows how to switch things on. Pity he doesn't know how to switch them off. There's a whole load of things I could comment about him; but him knowing much more than what goes on outside a 5ft radius around a TV/monitor, is not one of them.
  22. Was it a 170D or 171? Not that I can any difference in the oiler. Friend has a 171, always uses Stihl Semi-Synth and not ha a problem that I now of. Also have a friend with an old 170 but he uses Oregon mineral.
  23. Good! Saves having to water the garden, besides, mystic waving in this heat is hard work.
  24. Well I'm surprised, it rained all night. That last one did a better job than I'd expected; must have been a good potential breeder. I wonder if there's more from the same clan. Mind, it was dry on the ground by 10am and it was a boiling day. Got through a lot of squosh today.
  25. Then add yours and there'll be a diminished Husky ratio. Fight from within the orange wonderland.
