  1. Firstly these are nothing to do with me ok! 2. Have had this discussion lately with other people on diff sites, not slowing down exactly but working at a steady rate doing a quality job, better for everyone.
  3. A cheap Titan one from Screwfix would be ok, 1 yrs warranty!
  4. You need to ask Old Mill Tree Care he has the same model, I am running a A521 which is 1998 and still going strong.
  5. I wonder how many gallons that does to the mile!
  6. This was on a "Barn Owl Box fitting course " at a local large estate, apparently barn owls are quite "thick" and need the box about 6ft off the ground in line with their flight path across a field we were told by an instructor. An old crate on its side in a barn loft is all they need apparently. The boxes in the pics with the tree were purchased approx £95 and that was 3 yrs ago. Thought about making them myself as I make all my own bird boxes.
  7. I look on every day as having an adventure, always something new to see or do, I guess when that stops so will I.
  8. Sorry haven't had the time as yet, it just need a service and a check over by an expert, should really do it myself (hangs head in shame). I am in the process of moving house and yard in the next 2 weeks! so when things settle down will certainly give them a ring.
  9. I have fitted one to a tree with plastic bolts, only have to be 6ft off the ground apparently
  10. Filled up 4 green cans of unleaded in the back of my truck, diesel in the truck tank, sandwich and a drink for me. Lady cashier asked if I would just like a reciept just for the fuel. Old fashioned thing called service, thank you Godfrey's of Southwater! (Mazda Dealer)
  11. As everyone has said great place, nice people, did my Chipper Course there recently. Have also used Berkshire College of Agriculture and Plumpton all very good
  12. You have broken the main shaft that runs right throught the roller, if its anything like the one on my 536QXE. Complete roller strip down, new bearings each end, also new needle roller bearings each side of the gearbox, plenty of grease and a lot of cleaning require round the circlips on the shaft, it gets full of rust and water. About 2-3 hrs work plus parts. Think the last shaft was £27, bearings say £12. Make sure you watch carefully how the left hand "adjuster" side is dismantled.
  13. Forgot to say theres plenty of Insurance Companies, Wood Sales, Training Organisations, Trug Makes, Whittlers, Wood Turners, Dug Out Canoe looked fun, oh and not forgetting "The Woodsmans Arms". Apologies if I have left anyone out Dress Code: Olive Green 3/4 shorts, sandles, rucksack and for the Ladies, Riding Boots (but there are only 2 heavy horses)
  14. Good Show, went yesterday, FR Jones and Honey Bros stands, couple of lovely Mogs, got to see a Woodmizer working along with a Hakki Pilke and several other wood processors in the wooded area. New Arb Trucks and tool vans, Godfreys were there with a nice range of grabs, flails and tractors. Loads of old tool stands and a good demonstration from Hertfordshire Loggers on the sports side of the Industry.
