    Please to say all fixed with a 6ft Roughneck Post Hole Digger and a pair of log tongs, though I will remember all the other options, thanks very much. She who must be obeyed has me booked on a Chipper Course as a birthday present!

    If all else fails down the Warranty route you can use Expandit strimmer, extension shafts, hedge trimmers, pole saws on a Stihl KM Combi engine. It's the Ryobi power unit that lets the side down every time, plenty of vids on Youtube regarding tuning the carb as there set to run weak when leaving the factory. I know this is not the problem in your case however. I have a Stihl 55KM engine unit about £200 and I am using up the Expandit attachments till they wear out. (I have owned 3-4 complete Stihl Combi systems over the yrs at an all up costs of £600 each)

    Thanks guys for you input will have a go at it on Monday and get back to you. It's just been fully serviced, just an unlucky incident with a bit of old rough timber. Engine wont start at the moment, I guess safety device has cut in with the rollers open.

    Got a good soaking today removing these, no I didn't fall in either! getting fed up with wet slimy gloves, thank heaven for log tongs.

    I'm in the wrong business, going to set up Trailer Instruction School at these rates, very good luck guys at passing your tests though. I went for a job interview driving for Sussex Council before I went back to tree work, turned out to be a full LGV Test CBT then out driving a 17ton Vulture dustcart. Luckily I never passed the CBT only got 86% think the instructor and I were both relieved! Its been 44yrs since I took a driving test....

    After yrs of wrestling trailers I decided to put an engine under the rubbish. Tips as well as lifts Del Slim Jim. Takes 500kg i.e. ride on mowers, trees, brash, nice big step! I did think of a Hiab or one of the small electric winches but got annoyed when the salesman said I would have to "drill holes" in my mowers to attach the lifting cables.

    Thanks guys for your advice Will give it a go, did not like the idea of my fingers getting stuck in the rollers as they snapped shut!

    Hi, Just acquired this chipper Wonder if anyone has a good idea how to free up this piece of dead wood I have stuck the rollers in a Jensen A528. The engine stopped whist chipping this 6ft branch before I could reverse it. Can I release the tension on the rollers or manually reverse them? Is it a case of a felling lever to hold the rollers open and grab the wood out? Hold the rollers open a bit and use a pole saw to destroy the wood? Many thanks

    I have very nice clients, first job twice a week is to fill up peanut feeders, wild bird food, suet squares, fat balls and the pheasant feeders, I you go to a local "farming feed store" you can get a 20kg bag of Poultry Corn Mix for about £8 which goes down well with everyone! Just got to work a way to get there as were snowed in a bit, it's still snowing, no buses running, looks kind of interesting!

    I bought a pair of Silvercrest Twintalker from Lidl £29.99 last week, going to give them a test on Monday, seem ok round the house inside and out, 3 yr warranty, 8km range, 8 channels, sub channels if you interfere with anyone else. They come with hands free set, mic and ear plugs or might put them into the Aux socket on my FM Ear Defenders. Check out the Vids on Youtube, and ones for sale on Ebay £33 ish. I know there low cost but I'm only a poor groundie.

    Lidl have some walki talkies from Monday £19.95 with ear plugs and mics, voice activated, rechargeable batteries inc etc

    I have got a pair of "chainsaw gloves" from Lidl £9.00! but prefer to use the Lidl red or blue work gloves £6, all rated for scuffs, cuts, padding over the knuckles on both hands, much better feel when using saws or strimmers.

    I just paid £250 for this one, thought that was a lot! even with a good chain and bar, think £390 is ambitious!

    I ran a couple of 536QXE for a number of yrs, changed all the cable,gear box's and roller bearings. To change the drive cable, start at the top, release the adjuster off, unhook cable from control bar, remove the bolt in the grey plastic cover over the drive shaft with a 10mm socket (this may be stuck and need some WD40). You will see the end of the cable going into a lever on top of the roller, might need a pair of water pump pliers to hold against the spring, remove old cable and replace with new, hope this helps.

    Just keep an eye on the battery terminal posts, had an Electric Gator catch fire couple of times. Have seen a few of these inc the diesel version on Ebay atm.

    This was in 2000 1997 Transit chassis cab 44,000 miles £8500.00 Respray to white from BT Grey 500.00 Ali body & 4 ram tipper 2000.00 Del Tail Lift 1000.00 Tipper would tip 1.5 tons, Tail lift would lift 500kgs (Westwood 1600) Mower/Collector Roller Have carried 2 pallets of turf, 72 to a pallet so couple of tons. Had 180 litre Hornbeam full size trees 12-15ft tall made the tail lift cough
