  1. I love it!! Don't get a lot of time to do it but when I'm out I'm in my element. Bought my self a new 2015 stump jumper EVO earlier this year and it's awesome and at 1700 it's a bargain for the spec, could do with better forks though as they aren't really up to the abuse I'm throwing at them
  2. I thought the idea behind the half hitch on bigger rigging and the crab to the line on smaller was it's ability to cinch up tighter as it's loaded reducing the risk of slipping? Please do correct me if im wrong on that one as I'm relatively in experienced. Looking that that prussic setup it doesn't look as though it would be able to tighten as it's loaded?
  3. If you look about online you can find the parts used to make the no knot rigging system on tree stuff. Not as expensive as you might think either, both the hook and omega link come in at less than £20
  4. The m500 is a heavy lump for sure and would be difficult to get away at any pace but I wouldn't be leaving it outside where anyone looking to steal something could see it if they entered your garden. defiantly wants to be locked down in a locked shed of some description. Preferebly an alarmed shed
  5. I can confirm that it's fine on a 20" and for that reason it's good for climbing, cut bigger stuff with a smaller lighter saw
  6. I'm not trying to put you off the cs100, I'm sure it's a great wee chipper but do not over look the jo beau range of chippers. I have the m500 and it's excellent, been putting 5-6" lime through it today without a bother, flies on 4" stuff and has a wide hopper and knives so not as much sending necessary
  7. The point I was making is that to understand why someone did this, you must be able to contemplate a justified reason for someone to do it. Fact is there is no reason to do this so there is no way to understand it, it's just sick and mindless. There's no understanding about it.
  8. Good man!! They are great chippers! I love mine and it's surprising what they will eat Can I be cheeky and ask what you paid?
  9. Your not wrong John, anyone that can "understand" why someone would do this is just as sick and twisted as the people that did it in my opinion. There is no understandable reason to sentence an innocent dog to a long and painful death by poison and gnome, you need educating so here goes. It's not the dogs fault that it's poo is left on the ground, that sir is down to the owner, the dog is innocent. Can you "understand" that?
  10. It's a horrific thing and I can't even begin to contemplate why someone would do it. Sadly as stated, unless the person/persons responsible are caught in the act there really isn't a lot we can do. There are no words to describe what would happen to the people that did it if they were caught though. There's some very sick twisted people around
  11. Just a quick reminder for all to be vigilant when walking your dogs and don't let them eat anything. A friend of mine lost her 2 dogs last night because some scumbag had put bread out that had been soaked in antifreeze , I know it happens nationwide but it's the first time it's happened so close to home
  12. Where's the like button when you need one haha 👍 You don't necessarily need a go pro, a good action camera can be had for not a lot of money. Check out the xaiomi yi
  13. Can't comment on the cs100 but the jo beau m500 I have is excellent, the stuff it'll take is very surprising and it has a very large feed hopper so arm fulls of brash isn't an issue and it'll take some quite big unions, i do very little sneding out. If the m400 is anything like it then that would be my first choice from experience
  14. To anyone that is arguing against the 620sx or just echo in general I have one thing to say, go and buy one or better still, find someone that has one already broken in and use it for a day, you'll soon see why there's hype about it! I currently have 4, the 260tes, 280wes, 360tes and the 620sx and all get used regularly and none of them have cost me a penny in repairs. The 260tes was my only top handle for 2 years and it has done everything I had to do, from pruning to big dismantles and now at 3.5 years old it is still my go too saw and as I said, it has never failed me. Echo just make strong reliable tools, what more could you want
  15. I don't think it's just this that's the issue. A top handle is also less controllable in the event of kickback even with 2 hands on the saw which to the inexperienced user is just as dangerous as 1 handing in my opinion. I'm all for having to produce proof of training before purchase
  16. I have an 06 3l rodeo and cannot fault it at all. Not a fast truck but lots of guts for towing and it gave me 36mpg to the arb show this year from Lincoln. I personally couldn't recommend one like mine enough, I hear the newer models aren't as good though
  17. Unsure if it's true but I heard you either have to have a shotgun/firearms certificate (can't remember which one it was) to purchase the charges
  18. The husky can spouts fit no ptoblem
  19. So aparantely all my 620sx needed was a tune. The issue occurred mid cut but aparantely it had drop from 13000rpm to 11000rpm. Quick tune down the local saw shop and she's sweet as a nut again . Little confused as to how it dropped though
  20. Bit of echo fever going on here, I like it. Been running echo for 3 years and wouldn't change for anything. Have the 260tes, 280wes, 360tes and 620sx, all very strong saws although I am having a little problem with my 620 at the moment, seems to be spluttering a bit at the top end of the Rev range, I'm sure all it needs is a tune though just need to get it sent off
  21. See if you can get in touch with MF tree services, he's louth way on and may be able to help
  22. Would love to sharpen my own knives as it cost me £60 last time but with them being 500mm long I'm not sure those little grinders will really work
  23. How have they broken? As far as I'm aware they do have a lifetime warranty, firstly it said it all over my packaging and secondly when one of mine broke and I took it back they gave me a new one and actually told me it had a manufactures lifetime guarantee
