Pretty much all rings will split so collecting shortly before is a good idea. You also need to decide how flat, even and smooth you want them as this is all extra work. I have done several in the past in elm but am too far away to help I'm afraid. As a suggestion I would be looking for a mix of nicer looking timber rings eg oak, cherry, walnut, Elm, apple. Finding someone to supply that may be difficult though

So here's what I made the Mrs for Christmas and I'm pleased to say she was over the moon with it . It's always a worry making something as a surprise for someone incase they don't like it as much as you had hoped, thankfully she liked it more than I had hoped

The part number for the 1/4 sprocket is A556000101. Any echo dealer should be able to order you one

Gitup git2. On paper it looks as good as the hero4 and it gets some good reviews, only cost £60 Inc postage on black Friday so a bargain too

Just treated my self to an action camera so will get some vids soon and the bar mod is very simple. You'll need to drill 2 new holes then use a slit disc to grind down between the rails to the new holes to allow the oil to get to the chain as the tentioner holes are also the oiler holes will get some pics of this too

Why would you want an option? In my opinion it's that bar and chain that makes that saw what it it, would be pants with a 3/8 .50 chain in my opinion. I dont actually own one but in answer to your question, I have never seen one advertised with anything other than the 1/4 .43 chain

I have a couple of crosman ratcatchers, one in .177 and one in .22. Can put 5 pellets in a penny at 30yards with the .22 and 5 pellets through the same hole pretty much with the .177. The .177 is much more accurate but less stopping power if you deviate from the kill zone. All depends on what you want if for really -

When he requested to see my guns and cabinet he followed me and I asked him to wait outside while I retrieve my keys which aparantly most don't do Your licence clearly states only you can know where your keys are. It's pretty black and white really. I'm not saying I don't trust the Mrs but that's just he conditions of the licence and I don't intend breaking them

There shouldn't be any difference in comfort between the aluminium and carbon. The only difference will be the durability. Carbon is light and strong but brittle meaning walking around on hard surfaces could result in cracks/fractures although don't let this put you off if you'd rather the carbons as most get on fine with them. Also the aluminium ones are adjustable so you can set them to what's comfortable for you

I beg to differ. Anyone that respects the conditions of holding a licence (my self included) wouldn't allow anyone else to know the location of the keys to their guns. My Mrs wonders why I won't let her know as she says it doesn't matter but in real terms it does, the licence was acquired under those conditions and that's how it'll be kept. Personally I don't care if your the queen, you'll not find out where they are kept. When the firearms officer came to check my cabinet upon renewal he passed comment that most people don't request them to leave if they might see the location of the keys after i asked him to leave the room the keys were kept in so I could retrieve them. If you have a licence then they are your guns and your responsibility there for only you should have access to them
