  1. Have a word with Dean at global recycling, think he's got the m300 and m400 with interest free finance atm. I have the m500 and it's a beast, chips stuff up in no time and takes up to 5". Job beau make fantastic machines in my opinion
  2. I pay my unqualified brash rats £80 a day but I'm choosy who I use and my groundy gets between £100-120 a day depending on the job and the work load for that day and I expect work from 7:30-4 and again, im a little picky but in my opinion, £60 is way too low! Especially when you consider most people will be pricing you out at £200 a day!
  3. Can't comment on any problems as have only done 10k miles in my 06 3l but I can say it's a very good truck. Not a fast one by any stretch of the imagination but great on torque levels, excellent when towing and I average 30-32mpg with a mixture of towing and normal driving so not bad on fuel really. In my opinion it handles incredibly well too. All in all I'm very pleased with it and glad I went with it above the competition
  4. You can say that again, the first knife I tried took for ever and didn't turn out so well but I used the bench grinder on this one to put the initial grind on then just honed it with a file. This is only my second blade so not so fussed about using a file but if I continue to make them I will buy some tool steel I think
  5. I believe the tyre size best suited would be 215/75/15
  6. If you intend to use on the road a lot I wouldn't bother putting big tyres on and lifting it as it makes the ride horrible, just stick with some all terrain or mud tyres of the same size or slightly larger than standard
  7. Been interested in making one for a while now so got on with it today as I had an early finish. Not finished yet as it needs heat treating/tempering and some scales making up but it was 2 hours well spent in my opinion . Made using an old file
  8. That's some crazy looking gaffs!
  9. Nice video and St his will probably sound daft to most but it was nice to see the groundy being smooth with the rigging
  10. Echo didn't have a stall there but they were there as part of the forest and arb stand. I had a good chat with one of the guys regarding the 360tes and my thoughts on it

    Which Sthil

That's your opinion and your entitled to have the wrong opinion. As many others will know and agree all echo saws are very good, I have 3 and haven't had a problem with any plus I recon my two top handles (260tes and 360tes) would out cut the competition (ms201, t540 and 150t) and on top of all that they are much more reliable in my experience.

    Which Sthil

For pretty much the same money as the 241/261 you could have the echo 620sx which is a far superior saw and will handle a lot more. Really is a fantastic saw at a very good price.
  13. If I think of anything else I'll let you know
  14. Aside from all the usual checks, check the 4x4 engages and works. It works on a vacuum system and the pipes can go, to check, just engage 4x4 and listen for a click in the hubs and same for taking it out. Obviously check the service history but quite importantly check the king pins on the front, will be horrible to drive if one is gone. The usual chassis rust checks and you should be good to go. Try and avoid one that's been used for green laning/play days etc unless you know the history. I have one specked for offroad so know what they can/can't take and what problems occur with serious use eg I snapped the cast ali transfer box mounts on mine but that was with some serious use, all sorted with a rock crawler box and hd mounts/drive shafts. Fantastic little trucks, will seriously go anywhere.
  15. I can vouch for the jo beau. I own the larger m500 and it's an animal for its size plus the engineering on the machines is second to none
  16. Only been in this game 2 years but I would walk! Not worth the hassle/agro on your part if anything goes wrong. Would be worth voicing your opinion though to try and avoid any future mishaps with either your self or others
  17. It might be different with employed people but we as sub contractors had a completion date and penalty clauses if we went past that date
  18. No special offers section on my Samsung galaxy. Am I doing something wrong?
  19. I'm guilty of strimming in the dark. Was sub contracting on the north devon highways contract when they go round and flail a strip down the side of the road. Once i had done all the flailing i also had to strim out all signs and because of penalty clauses we had to get it all done ASAP so ended up strimming signs etc in the dark. Not ideal but a means to an end
  20. I've had one since apf 2012 and it has lived on an 18" bar since new so has done a lot of work for a 50cc saw but it's been almost faultless apart from 2 break bands. Since the upgrade to the redesigned break band I haven't had a single problem and it's still going very strong
  21. Took the words out of my mouth Jon haha
  22. I witnessed George Tipping at the age of 81 scale a pole after raising £40000 for marie curie quicker than I think I could. All I can say is well done sir, I tip my hat. Hope I'm still that fit at 81
  23. I've had some stein phantoms since apf 2012 and apart from breaking a couple of lace hooks the have been brilliant and very comfortable, would definitely recommend them
  24. This is the reason I asked the question really. Seen so much that was just topped but classed as pollards that I wanted to clear it up for my self
