  1. I would dig the fence into the ground and run it under ground about 4" down and 6-8" out if you know what I mean and 4' high. Best way to solve it would be a bullet though
  2. Good idea, I will def have some input as I have had mine for nearly 2 years and will try and get a video of mine with the ms150 bar through a couple of cuts as a demo. Fantastic little saw in my opinion.
  3. The part number for the 1/4 sprocket is A556-000101, just for your referance, took me a while to get that little number and thought it may save you some time haha. It's well worth modding a bar from the ms150 to fit, makes such a huge differance!
  4. Yes it is an Echo part and im using that particular bar because of the kerf, it's only .43 gauge so saps very little power from the saw meaning the saw can handle larger timber without a problem. The bar I modded was 10" but I fancy it would be fine on a 12" of the same bar
  5. I have been using the 260 for nearly 2 years and it's a great little saw, only had a bigger one for a couple of months so used it for everything before then and it worked very well. I got a 1/4 pitch sprocket for it and modded a bar from the ms150t for it and it's a different saw altogether now, it's surprising what it can handle and the you don't even know it's on your harness. For the price it's well worth the investment
  6. Echo cs360tes, a very strong saw that would happily compete with the ms200t at a fraction of the cost. Need I say anymore...
  7. Would you suggest sealing the timber first or just writing on it un treated?
  8. I have been asked to get some bits of timber prepped for a friend's wedding so they can be used instead of a messages book. My problem is I have no idea how to make the timber so it can be written on. Got some nice bits of elm to do it and wondered if anyone knew what I could do to it so that it can be written on?
  9. I love my zigzag but after watching that video I must get the yale blue tongue. The imori is good but not as good as that bt looks, good video and demo of the zz
  10. That is exactly what it was advertised as...won't be falling for that one again haha
  11. Yeah I see what your saying doobin and id be gutted but the fact that I only run xp oil puts my head a bit more at ease that it wasn't something I've done. Lesson learnt anyway...only new from now on! Like the 390xp I picked up from greenstripe yesterday haha
  12. No it was advertised as good working order but in need of a tune I believe I do yes, paid via PayPal and item isn't as it should have been, just waiting for a message back from him I think that's what greenstripe said but he said he couldn't be sure it hadn't damaged the crank until he had it apart and he quoted 350 on the spot so ill just send it back
  13. I didn't, took it to greenstripe and he did it, said it was probably because it had not been run on xp oil
  14. Scratch all that haha, I have learned the hard way not to buy second hand and never will again...its been cooked
  15. And here she is sports fans, all as described. Tick over was a little high and definitely in need of a tune as it bogs down when you touch the throttle at tick over but all in all its exactly what I expected
  16. No it was from a guy in Truro, seems really genuine and has 100% feedback on about 480 and was more than happy to answer any and all questions I had, fingers crossed it all checks out
  17. I was intending on that but thank you for mentioning it. Its the earlier non auto tune I believe as it's an 09 saw but from the look of it it hasn't done a lot, my 2012 550xp looks worse and I take very good care of my saws! Am considering a mm but can't find much about the best way to do it to this saw
  18. Ahh okay, thanks for that info, I shall give all that a good check over then. As long as it all checks out well i couldn't be a happier man due to the price
  19. Can't see it being a diy'er as it's a 576xpg but I know what your saying, just didn't want to go starting up and using it to find I was just destroying the engine that's all, to be honest I think it'll be fine
  20. I'm not counting my chicks till they hatch but I may have got a good deal on a saw on the bay last night. Long story short...It runs but is in need of a tune. Now I believe it may have been stood for a while and my question is this. Will leaving a saw to stand for a while damage any of the internals? Just wondering weather to do my usual strip down and clean and get it tuned or weather to take it to my dealer and get them to take it apart and re build just to check everything is okay?
  21. There all good but I really like the bottom one with the antlers
  22. My old man has done it for over 10 years with ours whenever he runs out of strait petrol so I'm going to say yes. It's just a little more lubrication using mix so can't see it hurting
  23. In short yes, you can put fuel, insurance and repairs etc against tax but only at a percentage depending on how many business to leisure miles you do, I think I'm claiming around 80% as I too use mine for leisure but not much as the Mrs usually drives
  24. I too own one of echo's 26 cc toppers and it was good on a standard bar but I've put that narrow bar and chain from the Stihl ms150t on it and mu god it flies for a little saw
  25. Obviously everyone is going to be different because every one has different needs etc. I can do a 3 man day with chipper for 480 if need be and im still making a pretty penny but it's easy for me as the only finance/out goings I have if a little finance on my truck. I don't think there can be a wrong day rate, just dependent on the particular business
