  1. Have sold quite a lot of the S2800 but TBH no feedback yet, although no complaints either. A bit gutted husky are doing away with the 'classic' forged line as they were a very popular axe, we must have sold a good couple of hundred of those axe's. So, if anyone is after the old husky axes buy them now as there isnt many in the UK and they arent making anymore. They are down to single figures.
  2. We stock the 3/8 560 husky bars if your interested. We are using one on our 560 20" wouldnt bother with anything less tbh, well it works for us, replaces the 046 in the tree.
  3. Seems like the 'Silky' blue tongue is a good un. The tachyon has worked well for us though tbh, has had a very good bit of testing and the rope is looking fine. Although the ZZ works well with a 13mm rope it is far better with a sub 12mm, it just depends if your climbing style will work with a thinner diameter rope.
  4. Just catching up on this thread. That does look like some excessive wear!! We, erm tested the ZZ1 quite extensively and didnt notice anywhere near that amount of wear, rope was a tachyon. There was a very small amount to start with but that became nothing really, well nothing of concern and did not affect the running of the ZZ. Although we dont have the same hours on the ZZ2 the friction part is exactly the same as the ZZ1 and we have noticed any more wear on the tachyon. Any concerns please post a pic and the spec of the rope used.
  5. Did you clean it in hot water at all? Reason I ask is hot water can distort the plastic part you have poking out there. If not DMM are a great company to deal with so its worth passing it into your supplier, was it us?
  6. Nice choice of rope there! We use the orange version which works very well with the ZZ. Looking at stocking the Yale blue tongue as that sounds like it works well too, eh Silky. Good to see everyone is happy with their purchase.
  7. We are waiting to hear back from some of those that have pre ordered, if any of them dont want one there will be more available and ill put you next on the list if you want?
  8. No chance, I havent even managed to get my hands (in a using it up a tree sense)on a demo model yet:thumbdown: Ill have to sneak one out tomorrow morn when Barry isnt lookin!!
  9. Well not just those, I do eat a bit of the green stuff now and then! No, no gut yet, im no Peter Andre but im not a fat git yet, I do still have to work on the tools for a living ATM. I suppose like a lot of people I could do with eating and drinking healthier but I dont think its a big problem for me atm so I would rather just enjoy what I am eating and drinking. Only and observation but there is a good a chance that those who do feel the down side of al lot of carbs could have things like wheat intolerances problems.
  10. I roughly put together a list of parts to build a 200T from scratch, came to about £1k in parts give or take a bit, iirc. This isnt far off that, so its a bargain!
  11. If pasties, pies, cakes and beer are off the menu then it sounds like a pointless existence to me! Although it would be interesting to see how much 'better' I would feel eating that way. Im probably luckly in that I feel crap all the time rather than just after eating some carbs etc!
  12. Could be something along those lines. Our 3120 doesn't pop the decompression valve but still fires and runs ok though, thank GodI ! I wouldn't want to have to start it without the decomp valve!
  13. We did the setup thing with the 540 but didnt bother with the 560, both saws run great. You can get idling probs amongst other things if the saw settings are well out, so in that case it is worth doing the 3-5 minutes of full bore cutting. This is from the Husky Autotune data Tuning mode; To enter tuning mode, two conditions have to be fulfilled: the throttle sensor has to indicate full throttle at the same time as the ignition system indicates 8 000 – 12 000 rpm. In other words; full throttle and load. If you over load the saw so it runs below 8,000 and on full throttle it will not enter auto tuning mode, or if you dont have it on full throttle but have it screaming then the same applies.
  14. Had a little play about with the ZZ and zillion on Monday. Only messing about on the climbing wall so obviously nowhere near a proper try out, but well, its better than the original zigzag so there probably not much more to say really. The rubber around the carabiner hole is very good, there is no chance a crab will slip about in there! The zillon is also a nice bit of kit and works well with the supplied rope.It is a bit more compact than the ZZ not only becase it has no swivel joint but also because it has one less link on the friction bit. There will be a replacement rope available which will just have one sewn eye and supplied heat tubing to cover a stopper knot etc. We have the prices up on the web site now, still looking for a Feb 2014 release date. With carabiner bundle deal Petzl Zigzag Carabiner Bundle - Pre Order Petzl Zillon
  15. That ship has sailed mate. Ill be honest as a climbers POV and not a seller, the ZZ is a very impressive device, with the right rope. That goes for the original ZZ as Ive not tried the new one yet. I would never go back to a sling/prussik loop or a hitch climber/pulley advanced hitch setup.
  16. Finally got around to sorting the price out. petzl zigzag Also now taking pre-orders for the Zillon. Petzl Zillon Getting a demo next week hopefully, Its usually my half a day off but I think I will stick around to have a look.
  17. Old Mill, have PM'd you about oil problem and Stubby, yeah it seems some of the springs arent that great TBH.
  18. Just out of interest, those having problems with the 540 have you set the autotune? ie run it full throttle through some timber for 5 minutes. I have some good info about the autotune system somewhere, presentations etc. Ill dig it out and put a thread up.
  19. I'll have a look for the part numbers but if you already know them pass them over and I can check price and availability.
  20. I had a mess about one day pricing it up awhile ago and it was around £1000 + VAT for the parts. I always thought it would be a good little project, get some of the parts painted custom colours, maybe see a mate with a CNC machine to fabricate a few blingy bits etc. I'll never, ever get round to doing it though.
  21. It's the other way around. The improved loop should have a grey plastic part in the clamp. Although you did have me doubting myself so I checked out the husky warranty letter. Mr B is right about the flip caps, the flip caps that fit the 540 are the small type as supplied on the oil tank of the new 550's
  22. They are indeed a complete wastefof planetary resources. You have to hold you thumb, or chosen body part over the hole in the re end cap Even then most of them still don't work!. Why husky bother I just don't know..
  23. I agree with the above in regards to the zigzag being the 'norm' in the very near future. It does have its faults as every bit of kit does, my 'fault' being that it needs to work better with 13mm rope. This only goes for the original ZZ as I havent tried the new one, but the difference between a 11.5mm rope and a 13mm rope is quite unbelievable. I prefer to climb on 13mm hence my 'fault' with the original ZZ. Although I would choose the ZZ with a 11.5mm any day of the week. Scotspine1, try it, I bet you will like it mate.
  24. MS200T 046 066 The current setup up has changed a bit but the above is a combo that can get a serious amount of work done with an unsurpassed reliability rate. ATM it is T540XP 560XP 066 You can never knock a 066.
  25. Pm's and emails all received and put on the list. In regards to returning the original zigzag, the official response is that there is no deadline as its PPE so it won't be a problem. If anyone needs details on how to return the zigzag give me a shout and I'll point you the right direction.
