  1. Just been asked by a customer for availability on the filter and cover. The cover has a different part number from what husky UK list on their IPL, they list 587 24 87-01 whereas 522 95 96-01 is what is showing as the 562xp cover which husky UK do have in stock! If anyone could do ma a favour and confirm the above is 100% correct in regards to 522 95 96-01 it would be very much appreciated, as I have only gone off internet info rather than seeing the thing first hand. They dont have any of the yellow filters but do have the 80um black one availabe
  2. Some of us do but it can be difficult as sometimes we get accused of up selling a product. Don't use the most basic of oils in the most powerful machines available.
  3. That shouldnt be an issue if they are a main husky dealer, may be different if they are a sub dealer. We do warranty repairs on machines not purchased from us which is what Husqvarna ask us to do. Although I havent been asked to warranty repair an ebay bought from the USA special yet so I reserve the right to refuse that one!
  4. If its Stihl then it has to be a dealer you can go into as they have a hand over policy. Some people do just look for the best price and then say that company is fantastic because of the price... service is what you want. Try your local dealer first even if it is a saw you can buy online, it makes it a lot easier if you are having problems with the saw for both you and the dealer.
  5. Some more newbies! 6. Drop [email protected] an email. I buy kolher parts from them and have found them helpful.
  7. Sounds as though it could be a leaking tank breather vent. ive had a few of these fail on 550xp and t540xp's. They end up pushing extra fuel into the carb, but the setup is different on the new 576xp. I think the changed the design so maybe yours is leaking and causing problems.
  8. Yep my thinking too! Not available until spring 2015 is what I was told today:001_huh: The only info I have atm is it is production problems. I have given up on this now so the only time I will say they are available is when I have a pallet load inside the shop:001_smile: Ah well, time for us to stock up on stihl and oregon combi cans now.
  9. crank is only listed as a complete unit along with seals, bearings stuffers and small end bearing part number 575 54 52 05
  10. Im putting one back together this week. I will try and get some decent pics and do my best to explain what im doing. From past experience dont bother trying to save any pieces that look worn or are nothing but dead straight. There is a thread where you can ask(beg I think the title is) for workshop manuals that might help a bit:001_smile:
  11. As a shameless plug, you can get a purpose made harness and rope cleaning liquid. beal-rope-and-harness-cleaning-fluid We sell quite a lot to rope access firms whose gear is subject to worse environments than ours, hence the need to clean it a bit sometimes.
  12. They aren't replacing them in a sense that everyone with a MK2 can go and swap it for a MK3. They will however replace any MK2 ZZ that have cracked with the MK3 (as long as your dealer has them available), as they haven't said to stop selling MK2's etc. We have been using a MK2 since they were available and it hasn't developed a crack, it does only get used 3 times a week though. It does seem that if it is going to develop a crack it will do it fairly early on.
  13. Already been talked about but we have just received a small quantity of the updated zigzag. So anyone purchasing one from the web site will received the beefed up version. petzl-zigzag
  14. Cheers for the reply. Although there must be some remapping done otherwise there wouldnt be any updates to the firmware if it operated as simply as you suggest. Im fairly sure the autotune also adjusts the ignition timing which is what I thought the 562 might have differently. I know how the settings worked but as I mentioned I thought they might be different for the 562 as it shares the same coil, carb, cylinder, exhaust etc. Anyway, after having a mess about today with our 560 it seems that the firmware is the same as the 562. The only thing I noticed is that it updated the firmware that was already on the 560, it didnt matter if I said it was a 562 or a 560 the updated firmware was the same. So if there is a difference between the 562 and 560 it must really come down to the size of the air filter as I cant see any other differences that would matter. But, they have fitter a new carburettor for both saws so if the people using the 562 have this improved carb maybe thats what is helping.
  15. I was thinking along the same lines of 18stoner as you have to choose the model when updating software but I must admit I haven't tried it, or even know if it's possible to change the 560 software to that of the 562. Have you tried it? Or, has anyone been able to remap the software of the autotune saws?
  16. I dont think I have any of those ones in stock yet, maybe they are releasing them at the same time as the combi cans!
  17. Ive had no issue yet from changing springs under warranty, but its not like i have replaced multiple springs on the same saw, ie im not sure how many times husky will do it under warranty. Apparently the new spring is available under the old part number, I need to check our new stock against an old spring as I didnt see the new designed one at the APF. Did anyone see it and does it look much different?
  18. The part number is 503 25 34-01 £9.41 + VAT. We usually have a few in stock if you get stuck. It looks like it fits quite a few saws, 262,372,254 etc
  19. Rolling out of your rocking chair should do the trick. Just don't get arrested for doing something illegal on the way down.
  20. 1 foot? Luckily for me that didn't happen. The way it was explained to me was that sitting on the branch your anchored into is the height you shouldn't climb beyond etc.
  21. Is it part number 19? If so they are £5.84 + VAT I dont think we have any in stock(we have hundreds of spares but my organisation of them isnt the best!) but husky do, so any dealer should be able to get hold of it for you. We order with husky more or less every day so give me a shout if you get stuck. If its not that part which bit is it?
  22. As stubby said. At the worst you might have to do an autotune setup but tbh it will probably be fine from the off. The autotune only starts to work after the saw is warmed up and been used for about 5 mins AND the machine is used on full throttle. It has a sensor on the throttle so using it at part throttle wont allow the autotune to do its stuff. I have some good pdf presentation on how it all works. I will dig them out and get a thread put up.
  23. The rrp for 10 litres of LS is £60 + VAT We charge slightly more for oil on the web site than in store due to postage costs. Although we dont have any in stock it would be £45 + VAT in store probably about £48 + VAT on the web. Husky usually have plenty in stock so could be worth getting your local dealer to add some on to his next order, although I cant vouch for what price they would sell it at. Hope it gives you an indication of cost.
  24. You really do hate that saw. Pity as our one has been brilliant and quite a lot of our customers rave about their 540 I think its safe to say you got a bad one. Have you slung it to the dark depths of the workshop or is it still in use?
  25. Have a look at the arbortec breatheflex range. XL in short leg should do you but best to find a local dealer and try them on. Arbortec Breatheflex Chainsaw trousers Type C They have proven to be a very popular trouser, light and breathable, early days to comment on how hard wearing they are as they have only been about for a few months.
