  1. Just a quick one as someone asked what size the end of the spouts are. Approx 22mm in diameter, that goes for both oil and fuel spouts. I dont have price on the spouts atm but will update when I do.
  2. I will measure them tomorrow.
  3. Just to answer a few questions that have previously popped up- The spouts look and feel more than adequate for the job, I have tried snapping one and im sure if I put enough effort in I probably could break it but it hasnt. It comes with the anti spill oil and anti spill fuel spout plus you get an extra non auto standard type thing spout. The auto spouts can also be locked in the closed position by twisting them slightly. The spouts will fit the old husky can and vice verse, they certainly wont fit the stihl or oregon fuel cans The tool box holder will house a combi spanner, round file and flat file, they are captive so wont fall out when you tip the can upside down to refuel. The part of the tool holder you see in the pic has a rubber flap(the black part) that locks down over the grey part. Its for putting spare chains, small wedges etc in but tbh I wouldnt put a chain in there unless the chain was in a separate container as it can rub against the tank and I can see that causing some problems! There is a clear line on both oil and fuel tanks. The 5l mrk is approx here and easily read, Looks a decent bit of kit at a very reasonable price.
  4. Here at long last £29.6 inc VAT New Husqvarna Fuel Combi-can

  6. Here at long last £29.6 inc VAT New Husqvarna Fuel Combi-can
  7. Cheers:thumbup1: Any order is well and truly appreciated mate.
  8. If you only bought that one item the postage would be £5.7 inc VAT. Just for reference if anyone else isnt sure about postage costs just add the items you want to buy to your basket, go to your basket and fill this section in- all you need to do is choose your country and put your postcode in, no other details are required Click on get quote and the postage cost, if any, will be displayed. You then click on the cost to add it to the total and everything including a VAT break down is displayed. Unlike some other web sites you dont have to fill in all your address and payment method before finding out what its all going to cost. As I think this thread has gone off tangent a bit I will lock it soon and open a new thread with all the info to the questions that have been asked as its all getting a bit lost now!
  9. I would say that a 550xp brings a smile to more faces than a MS261 It probably is the best 50cc saw available ATM.
  10. 066 is a brilliant saw. Ours is a 1998 and still runs a 36" bar no problem at all. A while ago I thought I would treat it to a set of piston rings, when I opened it up the rings were still within wear limits after over 10 years of abuse! I would always recommend to buying an 066 if a good one is available They dont break down and produce plenty of power.
  11. Yep, easily visible. I filled one up today from a 20 litre jerry can today without any issues. The 5l mrk is approx here Starscream no problem, cheers.
  12. Husqvarna are obviously happy that they can go on sale so that's good enough for me. So unless I get told otherwise by Husqvarna(which also includes all the other dealers who also have them in stock) it's not an issue.
  13. No offence but can everyone please disregard this comment. Husqvarna wouldnt send me recalled faulty fuel cans! Besides they have the date of 01/2015 stamped on the cans. Where did you get this info from? In regards to some other questions. The spouts look and feel more than adequate for the job, I have tried snapping one and im sure if I put enough effort in I probably could break it but it hasnt. The spouts will fit the old husky can and vice verse, they certainly wont fit the stihl or oregon fuel cans. There is a clear line on both oil and fuel tanks. Sorry Johnny no demo one mate. Finally, sorted the price out so it is now £29.6 inc VAT ATM. I just have to sort a partial refund out on everyone who has bought one:001_rolleyes:
  14. You could get away with cheap mineral oil on the older generation of saws but not on the autoune/mtronic stuff from what damage ive seen. Plus ive had customers tell me their machines run better on the husky low smoke/stihl HP super and upwards oils. If you dont want to pay the money for husky XP or stihl HP ultra then at least get the HP super or low smoke or something equivalent. I notice some of the members on here use oils far superior to the husky and stihl oils, I bet they can tell the difference if they go back to a cheap oil.
  15. Silly question that one mate, OF COURSE its autotune:001_rolleyes: Mendip has it sussed, you plug your autotune saw into the combi can and download the data. It knows how much fuel the saw has used as it has a level monitor in the can, then it can adjust the saw to get optimal power and fuel economy.* I think Husky only gave us the cans because I keep hassling and whinging at them about it! It comes with the anti spill oil and anti spill fuel spout plus you get an extra non auto standard type thing spout. The tool box holder will house a combi spanner, round file and flat file, they are captive so wont fall out when you tip the can upside down to refuel. The auto spouts can also be locked in the closed position by twisting them slightly. Looks to be a decent bit of kit but only time will tell. * If your thinikng of buying the combi can in regards to my autotune comments, dont, it hasnt.
  16. Title says it all really, I actually have hold of one(plus more in stock). New Husqvarna Fuel Combi-can
  17. Sooner than that according to an invoice I just received from husky.
  18. Your not the only one mate:001_smile: As in, waiting for a husky can. Lots asking to preorder but we have given up on that one for now unfortunately as it was just too much hassle for everyone involved! Possibly due in May as it is in production again now:001_rolleyes: I bet the happiest people will be the chaps and chapesses at husky who hear us and you moaning at them all the time:thumbup: Is a bit odd why they didnt include it in the 2015 catalogue though.
  19. Its a pity I was sent the rear handle of a domestic husky rather than the high top filter cover I ordered:001_rolleyes: Ah well more paper work to sort out on Monday!
  20. I tried to order some of those springs in but ended up with just more of the standard ones:001_rolleyes: I agree the av attachment could be better if strengthened (im not a fan of shaving off plastic when it comes to attachment points) although im not sure that it is a major weak point. I know a few people have had them fail but it could be to do with over tightening of the av spring when fitting, ie crushing and damaging the plastic. I only say this as I havent had one come back due to failure, plus our one gets abused and it doesnt show any sign of weakness.
  21. 20" on 3/8 Better than using a 046 up the tree, anything bigger and its the 066.
  22. It's not officially called a mk3, it's just a petzl zigzag but we kept getting asked when the mk3 would be available and if the zigzag we sold was the mk3 so thought it easiest to say it was the mk3. If they do make a mk4 then I would hope it's just too make it work better with a 13mm rope. I don't think I have had a disappointed zigzag customer yet! It's just so easy, intuitive (if that's the correct word to use) and consistent to use.
  23. Arrived today big thanks:thumbup1: Even though I did mistakenly identify you. It's a pity their isn't any bling bits available off the shelf for saws!
  24. I'm sure I must have mentioned how great and helpful the guys and girls at Husky UK are, I mean if theres ever a problem they are there straight away to.... No seriously, if you can wing one my way then brilliant:thumbup: although its for a customer (who is an AT member although I dont know which one) but if it costs me nothing then its not a bad freebie for them either! I did a lot of internet searching for it, no wonder I came back with nothing if they are that rare. Was it only special one off saws they put it on?
  25. Not anymore:001_smile: Cheers for the previous info too:thumbup1: This may be a bit more difficult, any ideas on a part number for an XP decal, its the one that you sometimes got on the airfilter cover of the older generation saws. I have trawled through loads of IPL's but have came back with nothing! I cant even recall on which models they put them on,(I was more of a Stihl man in my previous tree climbing life:001_smile:)
