What husky need to do is attach the strop eyelet to the other side of the AV spring. Most of the chainsaw weight is on the 'wrong' side of the AV spring. I was going to have a go at modding our one but like a lot of things I never got round to doing it:001_rolleyes:

IIRC the vertex 2 will have a removable/replaceable chin strap, other than that I don't really know! It isn't available yet afaik.

Just out off interest In regards to the carbon build up problem which two stroke oil have you been using? We have only had one back as a poor runner, it was the ignition coil, but it's not like we have sold hundreds of them plus all of ours have been 2012 models onwards.

Most of them are made in the same factory. The ghillie is better IMO due to it having a whistle which is handy as they can boil up quicker than you think and running them dry can easily burn them out. Plus its manufactured in the UK.

Did you manage to sort it out? I had a 236 toolless tensioner in the other day the bar studs were exactly the same length as a standard 236, in fact I tried to swap the sprocket cover and it fitted perfectly. here are the IPL The bad news is the complete standard cover is just under £40 + VAT!!

Cheers Ray hope all is well mate. Yeah unfortunately it is definitely someone who is in the industry and no doubt has been in a few times, they knew exactly what they wanted and where it was. The police are still looking into it as it is worth their while , ie they haven't just given us a crime number it is being investigated still. Catch you soon Ray. Hedegesparrow, its probably still in the area being used mate. At least measures have been put in place that will make things a lot more difficult and has upped the odds of them being caught quite a lot.

I would check that the tank vent isn't leading and that the impulse pipe isn't either detached or split. I have seen these two problems on the 540

It looks like there are only two variations so there is a good chance it will fit, but dont take my word for it:laugh1: This is the other and older design. I didnt see your original post, as others have said it probably just needs cleaning out, maybe the odd new part but TBH you wouldnt need a whole clutch cover unless the actual cover itself is badly damaged.

You are missing a couple of digits from the first part number. Lots of the 257 262 clutch covers do cross over with each other but it also looks like there are a lot different part numbers and designs. Your part number will fit these saws. Do you have any other info on what year saw the part is off?

I dont want to jump in on this thread trying to sell something , but i've just looked and the parts are available from husky so worth giving your local dealer a shout.

Fairy common on the 200, I have seen loads of these over the years, it is probably a blockage in the pump. You will need to take the clutch and drive sprocket off to get at the pump. If you remove the pump which is held on by two screws then rotate the drive gear in the pump should see the blockage come out. You have to rotate the gear backwards, so try it both ways.

My suggestion is to mix as big a quantity as you can. We always mixed 20 litres to 400ml at a time. The chance of getting it inaccurate are reduced plus any discrepancy in fuel and oil quantities is reduced. I would presume fuel pumps are fairly accurate but IIRC someone, somewhere on the internet or in a pub did some research and the findings were that if you feather the pump ie on/off/on/off etc then you get slightly less fuel. Although not too good for the wallet it isnt the worst scenario for the saws.

IanW, sorry only just seen your question. jim94 is correct, unless you're northern Scotland etc then its another £6.5 + VAT unfortunately. Cheers for the order jim, they are a very nice looking helmet and have some nice features. Only taken 6 months to get them on the shelves.

Yeah the husky sweets dont appeal to everyone. Although I seem to have acquired the taste for them! At least you havent tried using them as ear plugs(some poor soul did, credit to him for admitting it though!) the 560 is a very impressive saw:thumbup: I would be very interested in feedback on the breatheflex as they have proven to be extremely popular. We sold out of the popular sizes very quickly but have fortunately received some more stock today but from what I can see there arent that many left in stock in the UK and it might be september before they get more in, so be quick ordering from your dealer if you are after some. Bob, theres no chance I can get the Stihl sweets in too, I am putting on weight as it is:001_rolleyes: Cheers for the nice words fellas, it is still early days for us but sales are constantly on the rise which is all down to you .

Cheers for the feedback, and sorry for the late reply! What do you mean by the handle folds? We dont sell in the volume that the large established retailers sell in but I haven't had any returns with these probs yet. All we have had is, av rear spring, yep its not very strong, well not up to the job anyway. One leaking fuel tank vent and one impulse pipe connector fail. I appreciate the info as it all helps:thumbup1: Our one still gets abused and the bar is looking good and the saw is running strong with not one problem.

Just as a quick note DMM specify NOT to use hot water, it should be lukewarm at best. Otherwise the heat can distort the plastic pusher thing causing sticking problems. They also recommended WD40 or any other silicone based light oil as already mentioned. This was in answer to my question to DMM of using graphite powder as a lube. I think the problem with graphite powder is that it is too easy to add too much. All it needs is a little poof:001_smile:
