  1. Reminds me of Predator lol
  2. I know that the infeed rollers wont work unless the connector button at the front of the unit is in sink with the same on the infeed chute itself-worth checking first-it may have been dinked and the minute connection lost, good luck, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  3. I know he should have known better, no ppe, gypo style etc but that fall was horrendous-yes it gives us proper arbs a bad name but I do hope he is ok.
  4. Personally after having done my own enquiries and spoken to several people I would advise your friend to get a decent 2nd hand petrol splitter and preferably vertical one and not horizontal, with a minimum ton pressure of 6. Even a 6 ton rated electric splitter will most likely struggle on those awkward shaped/rooty pieces. My brother went down the cheaper lecky route and has busted what was two nice machines. The power source issue isnt when using petrol so there will be no need to lug cables all over. If a generator was used to power the splitter the generator must generate enough lecky to run the splitter or it will keep stalling etc.good luck...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  5. Can anyone PM me with the prices for this ingenious bit of kit, or better still ring me on 0191-5282554-Im knackered after humping cut logs all afternoon...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  6. Got my Husky 346xp frome Ebay-USA, no problem with import duty etc, however: I have been hammered previously, I suppose its a matter of luck, regards...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  7. I would now report the issue to Flea bay as steps must be taken to clobber this buffoon-clearly a stolen grinder( anyone know if theres been a Predator stump grinder stolen over the last couple of years ) ???. Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  8. Also there didnt seem to be any reserve price on it. I bet he,s sold it private or pulled the plug. If it was a genuine sale and all legit and in proper working order I would have took his hand off-a smashing machine.
  9. Doesnt look like the predator sold ?. If something seems too good to be true it normally is-springs to mind. That model costs brand new around £24,000 and the seller states he bought it brand new and is "hardly used"-so why was the bidding only up to just below £3000-seems iffy to me or there was something seriously wrong with it. Possibly stolen ????...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  10. Two staff, chipping into the understorey, cut down to ground level, all wood removed and a clear up, 1 x good days work=£400(mates rates)-£600 private-or thereabouts. Does that help ?..Good luck.
  11. Our tracked Timberwolf 150 (due to its size) fits in an Ifor Williams GD 8ft x 4ft twin axle trailer no problem. The infeed comes off and takes two men to slide it straight into the back of the tipper. When transporting the chipper we always have the tracks fully extended outwards to assist with stability. We are too far north for you but could have helped out if closer, good luck with the job...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  12. Phil Lowe from Lowe Maintenance makes insulating covers among other things for Kelly kettles, we used one on my CS 41 for brews etc, the boil time was reduced by 50%, a little meths onto nice dry kindling and your away...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  13. Chest waders and a long and short manual hand scythe, back breaking work though-would be interesting to have some pictures and an update with just what kit you end up using...Regards, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  14. I knew you,d be straight onto this one Joe..hope your well...Nick.
  15. My 2003 L200 is still going like a dream-pulling power is phenominal , the mpg is good too. It won the Paris/Dakar best pick up truck 3 years in a row. Have been well impressed and is simply the best motor I have ever had, regards...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  16. For overall quality(which you will pay for) the Granfors would be the one, but at half the price the Husqvarna is mint. Dont forget that the huqvarnas head can strike metal, wedges etc whereas the Granfors will eventually split. The small splitting axe was my choice for smaller logs etc and is very very sharp-I use the Husky for all work related stuff including cutting through roots etc...good luck with your purchase, P.S.: how many boyfriends have you got ? lol...regards, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  17. I stayed in Nice about 11 years ago on a hunting trip. To be honest I dont recall seeing much in the way of trees, but then again I wasnt taking much notice.

Hi mate-am just down the road in Sunderland, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd
  19. The only real upshot re this clear felling is that the deer numbers will jump up rapidly as new growth emerges and a more aesthetic mixed forest can be re planted...sorry to see it go, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  20. I bet there were a few stitches and butterflies went into that. I am afraid I would have gone grey with the old wobbley legs if that happened to me-hope you recover well, regards...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  21. So what is the official laws relating to this ? is it a maximum of 10 ltrs per purchase, what about the BS standard marks and any colour coding !!! gets me so annoyed-the law should publish posters for garages to display with an idiots guide re shape/size/colour/BS and anything else of relevence. And what about the old "jerry can", if I am restriced to 10 ltrs of fuel per purchase that will mean 2 1/2 visits to fill just one 25 ltr can. I reckon it is linked to the non payment of duty on red diesel-another dodge to stop the government getting their 75%/75p tax on each £1 spent !!mmm.
  22. Most of us do it, the helmet is left out front near the chipper, we have a break in the sun in the back garden then see a limb or bush that needs a quick cut-"h it,ll be ok not take me a minute"what happens, no visor, got piece of sh**e in the left eye and low and behold green gammy gunk thismorning, thats the last time I cut without my helmet/visor down, nuff said I think lol...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  23. Had the same problem at sainsburys. The staff are always uptight and this is because of a visit by the fire brigade safety staff. Unfortunately I suspect that the fire staff are not too familiar with the numerous and perfectly legal fuel cans available on the market and just give the basic bog standard instruction re containers etc. I do believe that the maximum ammount of fuel allowed to be purchased when placed into a fuel can as opposed to a vehicles tank is 10 litres. Something to do with storage and riots I suspect. If the staff say they dont recognise the container and insist that they will not allow the fill then so be it. Maybe a letter etc to the manager could go a long way to prevent staff and sainsburys actually making themselves look ill informed and ignorant, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  24. checked the youtube clip-type in " husqvarna brushcutter shredder head"-guys wearing a yellow suit.
  25. A robust/bigger sized brushcutter fitted with a mulcher head, lots of downward strokes-will make short work of it,check out mulcher head clips on youtube and see what the bloke does...good luck, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
