It also has a flat bed, additional tow hitch, custom metal greedy boards, extended trailer, quality Honda engine etc etc, we got ours for a respectable 4K in a preferred orange colour. We wouldnt be witout it and the heavy duty work it can do is phenominal...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.

  5. Having spent over 2 years on and off living in Norway in the Royal Marines during the 80's, I have the following to offer: it's bloody expensive, the beer is pricey, they are good drivers but on the wrong side of the roads, in the UK you could have 2 pints and be ok to legally drive, however in Norway your on a big downer-.1% alcohol level in your body and you can't drive**the Police & courts are extremely strict so be warned**,oh, and last but not least-all the girls love it ! lol-enjoy.

  19. I think the only way to actually make the chipper pay for itself is to use it yourself on your own arb jobs, but also hire it out "with an operator". That way you know how the machine is being treated/operated/not being abused etc. There are a lot of folk out there who havnt done a chipper course, I shudder at the thought of some inexperienced lad manouvering a tracked chipper off/on the trailer, then negotiating mrs buckets prize roses as well as the neww garage wall/gate etc. The going rate for a 6" infeed chipper is around £180 per day and that includes the person hiring picking it up and dropping it back off. Most of my customers dont want the hassle of running a chipper and prefer a full/half day deal...good luck...Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  20. Love it !
  21. Have you considered using an Alaskan Mill ?, you will need a large saw-say 395/3120-660/880 or close, a decent sized bar say 36" upwards ideally fitted with a ripping chain, oh, and not forgetting some straight ally ladders, some 6" screws and a power drill n wedges..best of. Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  22. Agreed, Portawinch 2000 or similar, mint.
  23. Message sent Steve-Nick, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  24. I think some of us may be missing the point here: Honey bees and wasps are not afforded any particular protection so moving/disturbance or even killing them may be acceptable, however the humble bumble is I believe protected, or legislation is going through parliament to afford the bumble bee full status protection. Sorry, I do not know which act or regulation this comes under, but I am sure this is the case. Maybe someone with a little more time could look into this, clearly as arborists it is in our own and the industries interest to know about such issues. Some folk dont give a hoot about anything insect especially ones that sting. This is a good post and should be given some serious thought. So can anyone put their finger on the legislation, thanks....Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
  25. All due respect to your questions and some very helpfull advice but do you have your CS 41 tree dismantle ticket, ? that course would answer a lot of your questions...all the best, Nick Pearson, Timberline-Roe Ltd.
