  1. Thats the problem, they've not been maintained from a young age and it will look like a hat rack to a cetain extent which i have told the client but he wants the space and light more than a nice looking tree which is fair enough. It is only a very small garden. I don't know what type they are, did not realise there are 2 types, i guess common.
  2. Thanks for all your replys and opinions. I should have said previously that the tree is semi mature.
  3. A customer has asked me to heavily reduce 2 hornbeam trees. Do you need to cut back to growth points or will it grow back from a knuckle or or a stub or will it die off? I ask this for both height and sides. Thanks in advance.
  4. And dont forget its a reverse thread but usually has arrow to remind you
  5. Have they not got those weigh pads now that they can carry around?
  6. I thought you would be inundated with offers! Good luck
  7. Alot use Trust Insurance as a broker. They are pretty good and know what they are talking about when it comes to tree work.
  8. Yeah field maple, even from the way the saw marks are left in the wood.
  9. Wow, this really suprises me, i would have thought they would be worth F all. Just goes to show, the amount of old saws I have binned over the years, mainly 254's, 257's, 550's, 560's and 200t's.
  10. As has been said, depends on access. If access is good and it looks like it probably is, then £500 is fair
  11. Its a good idea Mark, cos coffins are ludicrously expensive, not to mention the personal touch.
  12. You got your mill working yet mate?
  13. Doesn't look like there is any fm, still worth running the saw through to have a look.
  14. The power of those merlo is incredible, always suprises me what they can do.
  15. I found that insurance companys dis not want to insure my chipper because i kept it on my drive, they would only insure it if left in a locked compound.
  16. I had the 6" gravely. Good lombardini engine but like Mattyf said, they do rattle themselves apart. I was forever welding the chute.
  17. Agree with topchip, personaly i don't bother
  18. Many years ago on my landy mewp i had g90 tyres (i think it was), i found them really good off road.
  19. Haha, yes it was. Sorry only just seen this, playing around on the forum.
  20. Bfg. Have always got more miles out of these than others.
