  1. Anyone heard of these. My father brought it back from Spain as a gift for me. Nice knife, feels good in the hand and great quality.
  2. Yeah, don't get sucked in to wanting the walnut so much and then paying over the odds. My guess is that the customer will be surprised that it is worth so little. Good luck mate
  3. First pair i had split badly around the heel after about 4 months. 2nd pair seem ok
  4. Yes but that should be the companys problem not the customers. Its not fair to charge the client for 8 hours work when you have only done 4. If its 6 or 7 hours work then fair enough, charge for a day but not for half a day.
  5. Very nice Pete. Been following you on instagram, looks like you have a great set up mate.
  6. Yeah Hi-Line are another big outfit and growing..
  7. Who is going to carry the can if say there is an accident due directly to the inherent dangers of 2 rope working after an employed climber has expressed his concerns with it yet the employer or supervisor has over ruled and said you must use a 2nd line? Seems you could be damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  8. Exactly. Often see lads take 3 or 4 hrs to do a job that should take 2hrs. And indeed good lads turn a 4 hour job in to 2 or 3 hrs.
  9. That is a typical job i underprice. I would say £800 and not bothered if i get or not.
  10. I cut into mine the other day (part of the same batch as yours) and it had gone rotten. And there was metal in there, double downer. Check yours is not rotten mate.
  11. You got a good Mrs there
  12. But it has always been 15 metres or 2 tree lengths whichever is the greater, just no one adheres to it.
  13. Why are 2 long ropes thàt reach the ground required? Should your main line fail forr whatever reason, you can still decend to the ground using 2 lanyards. It is highly unlikely that you will injure yourself and have your main line fail at the same time or am I missing something?
  14. How does one respond to the ICoP? How do the thousands of tree surgeons that do not come on this site know about the ICoP let alone respond to it.
  15. 3 ropes is safer than 2, so why not climb on 3 ropes, or 4....5...
  16. Chap i used to do some work for had one. He liked to find the limits of any machine he had, what it could lift was quite incredible, there were alarms going and outriggers in the air mind[emoji47]?
  17. I did not think it was the same as towing with 3.5 ton
  18. It may well be. It would be worth double checking mate. I'm sure many on here know....
  19. How long did it take you?
  20. Make sure you have the correct licence to tow anything more than 750kg with 7.5 tonner mate. I think it might be hgv1 you need.
  21. I thought that at first, but then you look at the branch structure and is unlikely to spring back. Nice big trunk to hide behind too. Still a ballsy fell mind[emoji106]
