  1. There are some fantastic hedge laying pics here. It really is an art
  2. Tidy 5 shires. I had one fabricated for my schliesing, not not as tidy as that though
  3. Thanks Yeah, one is 65mm and the other 80mm. I was going to purchase from Saturn, hence not knowing which one. I have measured it since finding that out.
  4. And also i think it is more dangerous towing 3.5t than having that weight on a 3.5t tipper. I guess there is sound reasoning behind it.
  5. Does anyone know if 2007 220mx has the new style anvil or old? I think it is the new. TIA, Marc
  6. I once forgot my chainsaw boots for work. Boss had a pair of size 12 (I'm size 8) chainsaw wellies kicking around which i had to wear whilst dragging brash all day. Oh my god!!!
  7. And i think they are fantastic chippers. Chip ugly twisty thorn well. As others have said, well built.
  8. My experience with Overland has been good on the whole. Send out parts same day etc.
  9. That is interesting, I never realised that wood splits better when its colder.
  10. I notice certain wood rots in different manners. A prime example of this is oak, it can rot away or turn to bone oak which takes a very long time to break down. Does anybody know the reason for this?
  11. Friend of mine had one, not identical but very, very similar. I know nothing about it nor did she. Sorry thats no help.
  12. Thats right Rich, you'll always hear how much people are earning a day, but they never tell you of the days they only earnt £40 or worse. Try and find those rates 5 days a week and its not easy to find, certainly not round here. Some Large arb company's are only paying climbers between £90 and £120 a day.
  13. I've had several rangers 4x4 and really like them. Currently driving a 2008 model that i have had from new and it has done about 240,000 miles fairly troublr free. As said, service regulary. I don't think any vehicle is great on ice.
  14. So not connected with the canal?
  15. [emoji106][emoji106] yes, i did what i do not often do and comment before i have read the whole thread.
  16. Am i being stupid, how do you get to the poll??
  17. Yeah i hate pulling loads of rope through.
  18. On 3 strand agghhrrr[emoji34][emoji34]the twists and loops, bringing back nightmares
  19. As has been said, don't cut any timber to length until you know what size the mill or haulier wants? You could waste alot of valuable timber.
  20. For the extra £40 i think its a no brainer. I just wish they'd bring em out on a topper saw
  21. If you are experienced you should fly through. Go through the criteria with someone and then just take the assessment.
