  1. There are good and bad in all walks of life, we all know this. But these are typical traits of gypsies and i too would be very concerned. To be victim to this crime is truely awful and i can understand peoples fears.
  2. If you have local free tip sites like you say, would it be more cost effective to tip more frequently?
  3. Stray cats
  4. Shit. I take it you had to cut above and leave a stump?
  5. I don't believe you would achieve a great deal by carrying out a reduction and the canopy has been lifted as far as you can. It depends what the customer is trying to achieve, which we don't know, so we are pretty much guessing. The neighbours may enjoy a colourful beautifully scented flower bed in my front garden, yet i want to grow some veg or put it to grass so my kids can play footy, should i not be allowed because others enjoy my flower bed. I do agrre that we should not cut down mature trees like this one without good reason, but at the end of the day it is up to the owner.
  6. I hate this argument. It is so difficult to find the perfect house when searching and always end up compromising. This house could have been ideal in every way ( right location, school, on suite bedroom etc) for the purchaser, bar the tree. So its a no brainer, buy the house and fell the tree, exactly what I'd do. Job looks £500-800 to me. Easy day for 2 unless I'm missing something.
  7. Completely agree to leave site as you found it, but if the customer has said not to worry cos he's digging it up, then no issue as far as i can see.
  8. Bang on Eggs, that explains s it very well and how i understand it from what my insurance company told me.
  9. Mr Bulman is correct, if you are coming inas a freelance climber working with his staff etc, he is still covered on his insurance as far as public liability is concerned. It is odd because the firm has gone to all the extra costs of employing op paye, why then would he want him woring se too, as far as i can see only the op benefitting. I might be missing something
  10. Well done, happy for you
  11. I would not worry about it, how are they to know you are milling?
  12. I charge a little mor fore logs 6" and smaller. They are more time consuming to convert, there is more waste and you get more volume on a load. They are a pain.
  13. I believe autos are better off road too.
  14. Tin Star is superb. I am 3 or 4 episodes in to Tracker or Trackers, that is quite watcheable.
  15. Charge plenty and keep your books in order.
  16. Thats a huge tree Toxteth
  17. Nice, what a great bit of kit.
  18. I've often wondered this because the force used to get the tree over is from a different direction i.e. upwards not sideways and i worry that with alot of force you could pop the hinge off.
  19. Have a look in the blue book, there are some calculations in there that might take your interest.
  20. I know that tree, this is where i go mountain biking, The Royal Oak and Towy Inn are both just up the road[emoji6]
  21. And better than lifting timber
  22. How do you get it that side of logs?
  23. So have i Mick[emoji38] its amazing how high and far you can sling a large log[emoji44][emoji44]
