  2. Velcro every time. so much more comfortable and as Mark said, if you look after them by closing after use, they will last years. I've not tried velcro bottom strap but sure they're good
  3. Cheers Yve, be sure to let us know when the arb one is available
  4. I would think the answer to Q5 is closer 0.5 - 1%
  5. I recently bought a 550 and the notes said to take it easy for first 10 hours i.e. dont cut huge diametre timber etc. Have never really bothered with other saws but for some reason wanted to get it right. Maybe subconcious from running issues with them
  6. Have faith in your equipment and techniques Coletti. Good luck
  7. If you are ever (working) in the Shaftesbury area, I can take plenty. Good access etc
  8. Try Hi-Line, they are recruiting at the mo. good luck
  9. I tried one on at the APF, very very comfy. When are they due to be released?
  10. Sometimes these road closed signs are put out purely to protect the driver and their vehicle. A flood a regular family car cannot get through, a larger vehicle can with ease.
  11. What is the speed like of the Titan pro8 ton BM?
  12. When the fuel spout inevitably fails, i put an oil spout on the fuel end, although its not non spill, it lasts!
  13. i recently bought some stihl bib and brace type c from jonesie which seem very good quality for the price. they are £100 + vat so a little more than you want to spend. Seems like tommy could have a good deal for you though. If all else fails, sips tend to be good value for money. good luck
  14. Cheers mixd, those dickies sound ok, i hate having to take off boots to put waterproof trousers on and off. Might have to check out that place in frome when i'm next passing jon, cheers mate
  15. Hey paul, yeah we'll certainly catch up at jon's zummerset zider bash you! Is there any tools or plant in this company that are not brand new....must be terrible having to use all this brand new kit!
  16. I would suggest getting a husky 550 xp with 15" bar. You can pick one up for a little under £500 incl vat. I've just purchased one and am really pleased with it. I would spend an extra £30 and get the heated handle and then look forward to those cold winter mornings!!
  17. Horizontal rain here and blowing pretty hard. Had a shut down today so no getting out of it or knocking off early. Cut and climb jacket came into its own today, wish i could say the same about my waterproof trousers, time to invest in some new ones i think, any recommendations? Went to pick up my ladders from a site i left them at a few weeks ago and the whole wood was flooded, will have to wait until it receeds.
