  1. And already got yourself a stalker!! Only kidding Gray git, I've seen a couple also and agree they're good.
  2. I've had a few over the years and have found them to be good little vehicles. As has been said, they are terrible as soon as you get off the tarmac. They are deadly slow (older ones) as well.
  3. Which model did you get Steve?
  4. That's right mate, Vales yard is at Fifehead Magdalene.
  5. I might bump into you down at the ageas then Mat
  6. Sorry if this is the wrong place but I really do need to thank Michael Clarke for making a game of this dead rubber. Such a shame the umps have no common sense and bring such an exciting finish to a test match to an end for bad light with only 4 overs to go!!! Good effort England and thank you Michael Clarke. Umpires:thumbdown::thumbdown:
  7. V sorry to hear this. I can't stand thieving especially from workers and their tools. That bloke should be sent down for wearing that string vest in French colours!!
  8. Agree with that, trees, or this tree is not the be all and end all. I don't think I would feel comfortable with my family living in that house. Yes if the tree has had this lean all its life and does not appear to be getting worse then the tree will be very strong in this direction, however the ground around it is not bad but certainly not ideal i.e. is sloping away and building works around it (the house, garden wall and paving). Would you sleep easy there on a stormy night?
  9. Nice one jon, may have to settle for a 550 mate!!!
  10. That is a fair shout and I agree, although there are not many one man outfits doing tree work.
  11. Affordable Access in Romsey will sort you out i'm sure and will deliver 01794 521177
  12. That palfinger makes light work of jobs Peter.
  13. Of course if you are self employed you supply your own kit, what exactly will be drawn up between you and the person you are self employed to. Do you want the perks of being self employed and none of the responsibility?
  14. The way I see it, by using the 150 you are extending the life of other saws, ie 200t, so its barely costing you a penny.
  15. Hi ST, education is valuable mate. If you want to get into forestry then Newton Rigg College in Cumbria is the place to go, if its arb that you want then Merrist Wood is the place. If you're serious about it then these are the places to go. Of course there are other places to study which too are good, but these are the leaders in their field.
  16. I too am after a log splitter, probably tow behind petrol. Tia, seems to have a very quick cycle time which is imperative for commercial use. Is yours tow behind, difficult to tell from video?
  17. As a self employed person he should be supplying all kit he needs to do the job. However in reality this rarely happens and the self employed use bosses kit such as chipper and other tools which are either expensive or rarely used. As others have said, unless it was wilful or neglect I think its a bit rich to ask him to pay.
  18. Have you got any better pics Lee, can't quite work it out?
  19. Looks like an excellent workshop at good value. Unfortunately I am not able to attend but would certainly be interested should there be another in the South.
  20. don't even need to think about it, husky 254. I should have bought 10 of them before they were discontinued.
  21. Agree, I bought a rigging kit years and years ago, but all I tend to use is the rope and sometimes the block. I do use the rest of it occasionally if the job suits but normally its quicker and easier to use the minimum.
