  1. Had you already taken the top out of that Tony or was it from a previous reduction? If so, you could have knocked another couple of lumps off on the way down and no need for a stunt fell. I do like your Landy by the way.
  2. Very true Jon. It is difficult to put this saw in 'best 60cc saw in last 10 yrs' so early in its life. Time will tell if it holds all its early potential. The early signs are very promising however. From reading your posts ti appears you are very much a stihl man Jon?
  3. I bought 1 for line clearance, its ideal for regrowth.
  4. I'm in the 560 camp too. If you have not yet had the priviledge of using one, put it on your list of things to do before you die!
  5. I notice most of them wear a crash helmet just incase!!!
  6. Work can be so painfull when you are losing money on it (another leyland cypress), yet so enjoyable when you are making money on it. dont price too competitively and experience the pain. Hope work picks up for you
  7. nice seeing an 020t in action
  8. Quite a few here favouring the badger beers. Its a good drop when looked after, its a shame that so many of the hall and woodhouse pubs do not. Big fan of london pride here but there are so many gooduns. recently been enjoying a wainwright ale.
  9. Where are people camping, is it the Edwardston White Horse Inn? Still planning a rec climb? Would like try SRT.
  10. Woken up to a glorious morning here in north Dorset, blue sky, sun shining.
  11. Are Redwood selling these alongside their Jenson's now?
  12. Personaly i would avoid this as i imagine that the wood you are using is tanalised. By cutting into this you will be exposing untreated wood. So dont forget to treat the fresh exposed wood. Sounds pretty cool though.
  13. agree with that. What a s@#; clearance, that'll never last!!
  14. Hi sps, have you tried protector pro's, comfy and without cold feet!!
  15. Just catching up on your thread and see that the fox has just had his birthday. hope a good day was had and your keeping well! Hope to catch up over eggs way mate.
  16. Good its got the crane, wouldn't want to handball logs up into the back of that. Nice motor and can earn some brass with it.
  17. You can pick up a decent push bike for less than £100 which will give you a work radius of 20 miles or so depending how fit or willing you are.
  18. Been wearing Haix boots for the last 10 years or so and changed to a pair of meindl airstreams about 6 months ago. I found through this winter that I suffered cold feet regularly in them even when it wasn't that cold (which i rarely did in the haix). I have spoken to a couple of other people who have airstreams and they say they have the same problem. Has anybody else found this with the airstreams, or is it just me being a poof??
  19. Hi Paul, my computer will not open file for one reason or another. Is there somewhere else I can get a booking form from? Thanks, Marc
  20. I found that they wore out quickly and were not that good off road. I wouldn't get them again.
