  1. Surely its like Batman aint it? you can see it, but don't know where it is!
  2. That is very true. I did not realise it was an American publication. Should have read it more thoroughly before commenting.
  3. I thought exactly the same TCD. On the contrary sir!!
  4. How powerful are they Shillo?
  5. I see others have had the problem of the clip that the saw strop is attached to breaking (popping out). This has also happened to mine which I think I mentioned before in this thread. To those that this has happened to, what are you now doing (how are you attaching your saw to the strop) to stop it happening again? I am currently tying it to the bottom of the handle (by the oil cap) and then feeding it through the clip. This works but obviously is not ideal.
  6. I see Beaver has a winch on his transit on thread 'show us your set up'.
  7. If you have the log sales then I think getting a processor is a good idea and possibly a lad (for work I mean!!) part time or full.
  8. Our preference of saw may change somewhat! Its funny cos I did in fact get quoted £540 for a 540.
  9. £540 for a 540, isn't that how it works
  10. Fell the tree it is hung in and get even more firewwood!
  11. I have a double cab 4x4 and a tipper trailer that holds twice as much as the truck. I can sell single, double and treble loads and get in and out the woods. Works well for me.
  12. As has been said, mornings work, all depends on that phone line.
  13. I have used customers electric log splitters of this size to see what they are like and was surprised at the power and what they would split. These splitters are ideal if you only need to split your own firewood but no good commercially as they are slow.
  14. Worth adding to it with large wound dressings and small bottles of eye wash.
  15. Very good points and way of looking at it Reg.
  16. Thank you to everyone who posted suggestions on the repair of my 088. I have had it repaired using time-sert and all seems to be well. Thank you
  17. Hi Mark/Gobbypunk, good to see you on here. Very good advice there from rob d. As with most engines its not good to just start and use at full revs and turn off, idling here and there is good.
  18. The old style saw milling is worth a look as is The Wall Of Death and live boxing. And there is loads of traditional cider to sample mmmm!!
  19. That's brilliant. He's pretty quick too!
  20. I'm looking at getting something like that myself. Let me know how you get on with it. Speed is my main priority. How do you find yours Delabodge? Did you have a Wallenstein for sale back along, or am I thinking of someone else?
