  1. Hi my husky 357xp with a 20” bar is a screamer it’s like a laser. I bet it would pull a 24” bar at a push but it’s probably pushing it to much. I had an 038 magnum with a 25” bar it would pull but struggled when buried in beech. But that saw weighed a ton.
  2. Looks a beast with the full wrap around does it get in the way of the bar nuts.
  3. I do like the ms462 but the 500 is only £35 more. I also like the xp tho some people hate Husqvarna, the 500 seems to be the new kid on the block.
  4. Hi I’m after a new firewood saw to harvest the blow down trees on the farms. Until now Ive managed with my 357xp 20” and Stihl ms261 16” my mate who goes half each with me on the wood has a Stihl ms361 and 241. I was looking to go up to 25 or 28” bar as some of the trees are big in the butt. I was thinking around £900 ish what would you recommend 572xp ms462 ms500 ?‍♂️ cheers.?

  8. Hi all I've just picked up an old stihl 038super av magnum with a 20" bar. The saw runs ok and it starts on 4-5th pull, It's had a hard life tho the bar is worn out and the chain is had it. I want to put a big bar on it for the bigger logs. I've got a 357xp with a 20" and a ms261 with a 16" bar so I'm looking for something like 28" or 30" what's your thoughts or advice would be gladly appreciated. We have free firewood for our selfs off the farms we shoot on. Some of the fallen trees we take are over 4' thick.
