  1. the green black white tach was made by teufelberger and new england did the other three before they merged or did what ever they did for the euro market so that will have something to do with it , i haven't climbed on arbomaster myself
  2. I use them for pruning only ross and thats basically all we do this time of year over here so I'm in them every day..... can't beat them for climbing imo
  3. apart from the colour , good boot if your doing forestry http://www.grube.de/meindl-airstream-timber-cat-boots-93-708-38-variation.html
  4. yeah they are good boots mate , my work mate just replaced his salewas with a pair and he's really happy
  5. the boots are comfy but not as grippy as the scarpa pro ascents adam i was going to buy a pair but decided against ..... i do see some cool applications for the clips though. heres a link Freeworker - Arbpro Climbing Shoe ClipnStep - climb up high!
  6. good call bro i still need to get it a.
  7. You can't really go wrong with tachyon bro , it's a good rope. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. cheers mate ill get the missus to translate
  9. where did you find that mate ? thats interesting . we work on them all year round and i find its the worst when they come into leaf. now its not so bad but still pretty average.
  10. spider jack is fine mate , its not an issue. they are not designed for single line decent but if your moving a few meters it shouldn't be a problem. the best way would be as as said before to either use a cambium saver or to put some more friction in the system via 8 or wrench etc. I don't mind rigging big bits and once you get used to it and find little tricks to speed up setup it can be faster and less tiring.
  11. nice one bro , are you wrenching most of the time now ? that loader looks like a sweet bit of kit.
  12. same stuff as the arb pro mate , 9 mm kevlar poly combo
  13. Crazy , i'm 300 Kms south and the storms didn't even show up here.
  14. try an extra braid or do a twist after the wraps
  15. just pull over top and tend with the other hand ,it won't take long to get used to.
  16. if you are worried mate just add some friction to the system via an 8 or rope wrench or even munter hitch. in comps the spider jack and lockjack can be used with two people on one system but can't say for sure with the zig zag.
  17. yeah , i found they didn't sit right with krabs a , i also got some seil shekels that i connect to heavy duty slings for the rigs i want to use for speed lines and other purposes. hope that shoulders healing nice mate:thumbup1:
  18. get the 12 mm Callum and splice on some pinto rigs bro. I spliced up a couple of loopies and they're the bomb for smallish rigging and redirects a.
  19. nice one bro , how was the final bury ? , I've been fluffing around with some used tach and it was a nightmare
  20. come on , cough em up
  21. down here in heidelberg is against the law because of nesting birds and animals , only hazardous tree removals this time of year for us.
  22. I've been here for a couple of years mate and got into a good company with stupidly nice work , the boys in the company speak very good english which has been good and bad as my german hasn't really improved to much. if you get the right company , you will find that there is a very great attitude towards tree care and a huge amount of pruning and deadwooding over the warmer periods and felling is during the felling season which is 3 or 4 months during the colder time of the year. feel free to pm me a about any questions mate.
  23. 14 mm bull rope , block , portawrap with sling and a pinto rig on a loopie. you will be able to do almost everything with that setup , I'm really loving our pinto rigs for light rigging and redirects
  24. the climbing comps are the only ones where your competitors are helping you while your competing its less of a comp and more of a social gathering as drew stated before. people of all abilities come along and have fun learning stuff and getting encouraged by the more experienced guys. the connections made at these events can be super beneficial work wise , you can meet people from overseas and spend a week working abroad etc whats not to like ? . congrats by the way mog , nice one.
