I wear air streams and they are pretty sweet , best boots I've worn for all round tree work, two felling seasons in and they hardly have a mark. you should buy these and tell me if they are any good on spikes Freeworker - ArbPro Cervino Wood Chainsaw Protective Boot - climb up high!. they will be my next purchase if my meindles ever wear out .

  10. 14 mm bull can handle some large lumps and its no problem to handle at all. we have 13 14 and 16 mm and i always take the 14 as its got the best of both worlds 16 mm for snatching big big stuff. this piece had a small shock load as we winched it with the grcs and when it popped it bounced a bit ...... to be honest we all though that something would break so i got out of the tree. the rope had some damage at the half hitch but still nailed it
  11. i disagree steve , i have used both an i find that with the swivel you don't need to keep clipping and unclipping to change the orientation of the positioner , I'm not to meticulous when putting it back on my harness and the odd time i will clip through its self and then if you load it and its not facing the right way it takes more time to unclip and re position.
  12. yup , stays on my foot all day
  13. smart work adam , nice one bro .

  20. my cornea got cut when i pulled out a betula twig and it whipped into my eye .... nasty stuff man. you can get a gel to put in it or go to an eye doc and if its bad enough they will give you some pain relief eye drops. your cornea heals super fast but damn its an interesting pain.
  21. big mark, some would say to big bit of miscommunication just one of those things
  22. Yeah me too man , we chop and change all the time . I don't think that doing massive snatches on the winch is the best and the excess wear effects the winching power after a while imagine if it was the winch instead of the bollard
  23. is there new double plate adam? the one in the pic looks just like the regular grcs except both have been put in instead of one. as far as i can see mr th , your setup is incorrect. could be wrong but i have not heard of the new double plate.

Hey Drew , beautiful pics bro, did u have to get a grant to climb the kauri? i know paul kenny used to do it up waipoua regularly but with the threat of kdd its becoming harder. seeing these pics really makes me a little homesick, the podocarp and kauri forests of nz just can't be described to people with words. cheers for posting.
