  3. You can't put sewn eyes through a cocoon or pinto , so if you want rope guide or pulley saver , you would need a traditional splice or a salice . Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. A few of us lads have been away working at a 5 star wellness hotel doing the regular deadwood on some beautiful big trees. This ulmus was defiantly a highlight . We guessed her height at just over 40 meters , you can spot Martin up in the canopy. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. ropes for balancing would be ideal, but for big lifts maybe it doesn't have the surface area to grip as good. some am steel blue 20 mm would be plenty strong and static enough.

  13. if you're using a chest ascender and a hand ascender then in the case of a fall your chest ascender will take the higher percentage of energy , possibly ripping the rope but your handascender will catch you .

  15. Just out of interest ,the treemotion lower ds are rated for life support, would attaching the flipline to these be considerd a no no but attaching this flipline to the side ds be ok:confused1: .

  18. Yeah mate, it's set up right and I'm using the beeline on my tachyon . It was more a question of how you lot tie your hitchs , sporty , tight, how many wraps , what knot etc eTc I have done a fair few climbs on it but because of the tending it has been sitting in my bag for a couple of weeks .   19. how are you guys finding the tending of the hitchhiker, I'm struggling to find the right balance when tying my knot, I'm yet to try other knots but have been using variations of the recommended valdotain and have not quite got it working how i would like it to
