Camping in trees?

It was the set up on country file that gave me the idea! What did you use to make the tent waterproof as I see they come just as a mosquito net roof as standard? I like the idea of having a platform to lay about on as well, been trying to think of ways to make one myself but don't think I'd ever fully trust my homemade platform.

    Camping in trees?

Yeah I saw them, was hoping to find something a bit cheaper to be honest. Also based in the UK would be good to save on shipping. Cheers anyways
  6. Does anyone know any products designed to spend the night up a tree? Needs to be big enough for 2 people and have some kind of roof. Was just going to sling a couple of hammocks up and stretch a tarp over for a roof but I imagine there are some sort of tree tents on the market somewhere?
  7. Nice one thanks for the replies
  8. I'm wanting to make a short lanyard from some unspliced climbing rope. What knot do people suggest to use to connect to it to my karabiner going through my D ring. I'm using a French prussik with a micro pulley for length adjustment, it's the other end I'm interested in. Cheers
  9. Just section felled one. My hands are all swollen from getting bits of their spikes stuck in my knuckles. Anyone had this problem before, I've had the same problem when working with blackthorn but nowhere near as bad as this!

Hi mate, thanks for replying about the pickup. Was just after a bit more info. Has it been serviced regularly? Have you had any problems with it? And of course...what kindve price are you looking for!? Cheers

  13. Thanks for the reply but un-identified engine problems are a bit much for me, don't mind if it needs a bit of patching up but engine troubles are a different kettle of fish. Cheers anyways
