  1. you're using it wrong then mate , try grabbing your rope with your hand and releasing at the same time. you will find that even on a single leg with full weight you can get a smooth action.
  2. the tree motion works nice when the waist isn't to tight , i have mine just on the hips. spend a while playing around with adjustments and then keep when its good you don't have to play around anymore. look on youtube for help.
  3. Back in europe mate , those three weeks shot by so fast. hope you had a good new years bro , I'm looking forward to the next instalment of smash down productions . Ps I'm finally getting into this video stuff bro, I should be getting a new vid up in the next couple of weeks.
  4. He's arrived on arbtalk , nice to see you here bro .
  5. I saw a neat way of backing them up with just a webbing sling , i'll see if i can find it.
  6. exactly rich , except now i have a würf haken (throwing hook) i can transfer from tree to tree without touching the ground:001_tt2:. I used to foot lock for access or just climb ....... srt makes life more productive and efficient and the little money you invest in a access line and ascenders will speed up your work day by a lot in the matter of a year or so. @joe , keep your bigshot at the depot mate , throw by hand every single time and soon enough you'll forget you even own one . @rich the reason i made this vid was exactly that bro , i wanted to just show a process of installing a line , ascending and a little bit of chilled working . have fun with your beech trees btw and your defiantly have to make a vid:thumbup1: .
  7. yeah thanks a lot mate , i quite enjoy a nice climb with just the handsaw. i was flicking through some photos yesterday and old toby popped up on that oak job , make sure you say hello from me and the baum braun boys are you heading to the next baumkletter meisterschaft?
  8. can't please everyone eh adam its some dynamic climbing rope that i got from free worker and I'm really digging it a i think its 10.5 mm and it runs really nice. @ mark thanks mate and yep they are scarpa pro ascents , really nice boots for climbing in.
  9. haha 35 meter throw would be pushing it bro but around 20- 26.3567 meters i can accurately throw so its not to far to climb if over that
  10. haha cheers joe that was my third throw mate:biggrin:. I always hand throw ,i like it and nothing gets much bigger then 35 meters here. yeah I've played with srwp but my hitchhiker disappeared. I like ddrt and I'm pretty happy using srt for access and ddrt for climbing. The red thing is a pinto rig spacer , I'm using it at the moment and its good if you want to do some fast descents. you should get one and give it a whirl , it won't change your life but its quite good .https://honeybros.com/Item/DMM_Pinto_Pulley_Spacer its the rig spacer
  11. damn , ill sort it out after work . haha cherry reductions are next on the video list jake.
  12. must be something to do with the music , does it work now?
  13. Heres a clip i put together last night of me deadwooding an oak , to be honest its not very action packed. It shows a typical day in Germany and different side of arboriculture that some of you guys might like. Hope you enjoy.
  14. Nice work rich , some really nice picks in there mate.
  15. yeah bro say hello to tobi for me , he was with me on a couple of interesting baustelle. we rigged out some massive pieces of oak from the steiger (mewp) haha a couple of hairy moments thats for sure.
  16. cheers mate , yeah the man of the day was defiantly the pilot , he made our job easy. Mark im a little disappointed about your video bro you sort of built it up and then have let a lot of people down , maybe switch the song to Joe Esposito - You're The Best Around ?
  17. haha it wasn't to bad mate i was only up there for 45 min or so, i just don't like walking around in ivy with them on and had to start cutting. who's your workmate bro?
  18. Cheers guys , yeah Darrin it was intense , you can see in the second pick the bar gets pushed around a little bit when I was lining up my cut. I had the wrong cover on the go pro so it didn't pick up the sound of wind. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. here it is guys , to be fair my editing skills are far from desirable but i thought id chuck together what i could from a great day.
  20. Any signs of kretzschmaria?
  21. same for us mate , its october. cheers, It might be a while but ill keep it in mind bro
  22. the pilot would be putting around 1000 to 1200 kgs tension on the line I'm thinking as you can see the cuts rip a little with the weight of the lean and with the helicopter tension it will be more clear with vids from lifts further down the tree. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10204146902225428&set=o.908481889178571&type=2&theater heres a clip you can see it a little clearer Its safe, just as safe as using a crane , if not more so depending totally on the pilot
  23. you could probably use it for bungee jumping i had it and hated it , its way to stretchy
  24. yeah the go pro didn't pick it up really. I think the strong wind messes with the mic in the waterproof case a little but its intense and a cool feeling . towards the end of the tree when it was just down to the barrel i could feel it pushing my bar down a little when lining up cuts but it wasn't to bad.
  25. the new 661 is an absolute beast bro.
