  1. Just splice them , locking brummels are super easy. The rope will break before the ring so just choose the appropriate diameter for the application
  2. Or you can just use the end of your rope in a ddrt setup
  3. hey gordon , it looks really cool but without a single leg mode i think that it will really limit the device , nearly all climbers i know utilise single leg mode regulary in tree work. keep on designing dude , it has potential.
  4. playing about? you can't be serious . None of that is over complicated , its moving big pieces with the least amount of effort possible , smart working and well executed rigging .....
  5. the trick is to get the eye just small enough so that the omni triactdoesnt get pulled through but still big enough so the rig doesn't get stuck in it. I will get some photos up tomorrow.
  6. Not at the moment bro , I can take a few snaps tomorrow if you'd like.
  7. https://instagram.com/p/4E4U2tIY5A/ Here's one I made up , its honestly the most retrievable thing I have ever used, my rope guide went missing so i threw this together after seeing a friend with the same system
  8. Really? I'm flying into sanfran on the 22nd , what are your plans over there bro ? pm me
  9. Bravo Can you sign my 200t please sir ? :001_tt2:haha Solid work as always bro , really enjoyed that one.
  10. Imori is quite nice , really baggy cover so the final bury is quite easy , I'm no splice master but i can do it as i say the idea wasn't mine but it works damn well. reasonably inexpensive in terms of materials also.
  11. yeah bro much nicer pics then your last vid , hiabs without a scale are always going to be tricky as its hard to get your pre tensioning weight spot on ....... good one
  12. yeah man its easily removable but the point of the carabinier is to actually lever out the pinto when it slides around , Its not my idea but i did make the system. https://instagram.com/p/4E4U2tIY5A/?taken-by=colemanjesse heres a link , hope its helpful and thanks Ti , glad you enjoyed it
  13. cheers bro. haha I love getting the gut out in warm weather boys
  14. Yeah love it bro. its just a really quick and easy adjustable redirect. purely for comfort and work positioning. its one of my favourites , i do it doubled rope as well , just clip it onto the standing part of the rope.
  15. Nice warm day in G land , little bit of everything thrown in, srwp , ddrt, traversing . hope you enjoy , don't let the gut put you off [ame] [/ame]
  16. yeah that would work if you are that way inclined . Ive got a video in the works that combines a bit of srwp , ddrt and even a bit of epple hooking thrown in for good measure.
  17. If its a big spreading deadwood of prune then i will work on the way up with the wrench , do everything suitable , get to my anchor and then redirect my access line and send my system down it for further work later on. I usually do a section or two ddrt after and then switch back over and work the last part srt ........ it cuts out a lot of up and downing , makes life alot easier as long as you can plan your routes efficiently. ..... not for every tree but I'm doing it as much as possible.
  18. not bad , looks pretty sweet actually
  19. Mean bro , you smash some serious work on a daily basis. I thoroughly enjoyed it homie.
  20. haha I'll have five others to play on if velocity doesnt work out
  21. cheers gordon , what about 11mm htp? thats a shame about the velocity.
  22. has anyone used it on velocity yet?
  23. Haha cheers bro. Rich
  24. sweet, it looks nicely designed , i'll have to get my hands on one to compare it to the epple. @ben , there are different techniques that you can use , you can set up double rope system on the tail of your line and throw a large bight with the hook in it , then if it gets stuck you can unclip the termination knot and pull it out of the hook. ......... looks like these boys are using separate lines so that makes it less risky but what a pain to carry all that rope around on you.
  25. Nice reduction adam, reducing back to good growth points and maintaining a natural form , its something so many arborists just can't do . Shot bro good work
