  2. Yeah that will only be a few quid though . I was quite surprised at the cost too actually Jake . I think they will be doing spliced up versions too but I will make my own I think.
  3. By this I mean you can use it the traditional way and also use it a a ring *
  4. http://www.sherrilltree.com/new-products/x-rigging-safebloc Here you go jake Hey Steve
  5. haha yup , I have an inco prussic I use for redirects and for a second system , bit more versatile then a sling , the 8 is where its at for redirects , as rich said , you can use the holes instead of a ring.
  6. If you have a figure 8 on your harness Steve , use that, It's my go to for redirects as it's quick and easy to adjust.
  7. looks like pre orders are going , who's getting one ? Ive been waiting for a while to get my hands on one of these.
  8. https://m.proxfree.com/youtube-proxy.php I used the Netherlands as the IP address
  9. I used a YouTube proxy. We can't get anything over here
  10. fantastic paul , I always enjoy your videos. what ropes are you running through the hitch hiker ?
  11. thanks guys , the parkour they have setup is fantastic , its a beautiful tree to climb. No worries Rich , will do bro .
  12. Well its finally the end of felling season and what better then to head on out into the forest and have a swing around in some trees . I went down to Baden Baden today to meet up with Callum and Joe to have a climb in their training tree. Needless to say I'm a bit rusty after being in spikes for the last few months but it was a wicked day with the lads being monkeys in such a beautiful Fagus. Enjoy [ame] [/ame]
  13. Not bad for your first time mate 😏 I liked the balancing at the start Ben, nice work bromie . Ps was that Patrick swayz eat the end ?
  14. thanks jomoco , its very rare that i get my saw stuck but i know what you are saying . I use release cuts in certain situations as it is best practise, but i always aim to have the least amount of movement in the crane and sometimes its helpful to use the natural dampening of the tree. nice to hear about your methodology , and cheers for the kind works
  15. Its an aspect of the job i do enjoy. communication is defiantly key , i do mostly hand signals if in sight of the crane driver (i find it easier then explaining in german) if I'm not in direct line of sight then i will have a groundsman in direct com with the crane driver.
  16. Hey jomoco , it depends on the piece and how it's going to react , if there is going to be a bit of twisting I will try and use the bark to slow the movement etc .... But in general I cut towards the tension and read the cut as I go ..... I load the crane about 100 or 200 kgs less then I think the bit weighs and then if I'm off I can tell as I'm cutting and will adjust the pre tension as I go. Most of its by feel and I don't have a cut I use every time.
  17. Hey mate , it was in a small village close to Heidelberg called bammental .
  18. I just reopened a scab , looking at the vid it defiantly looks a lot worse then what it was haha
  19. cheers boys ......The tune is "no air " by dualistic @silky fox , the names Jesse btw mate.
  20. Hey guys , a little more crane action for ya. Short and sweet, my go pro ran out of juice after the first few picks so nothing to drawn out. Hope you enjoy, switch to hd. [ame] [/ame]
  21. if its for just an access line then globe all day....... no question . Make sure you use a dynamic footlock sling though , I think if you use the tteufelburger dynamic footlock sling its actually a certified system.
  22. :thumbup1:Thank you lads , I do appreciate the feedback.
  23. you should defiantly sell it to him , I know how much time goes into editing and wouldn't consider giving away that time for free. Companies will always make money off a climber, the last thing you need to do is give away something you worked hard on how long did it take you to make ? i'd say 200 bro.
  24. cheers guys..... @ Mark its pretty average if I'm honest bro but i get by The track is Bloodshot by Hermitude
