  1. thanks man, and yup thats bonobo, kiara, its from black sands album for the pre tension I pre load the piece to about 200 kgs less than what i Think it is and then just read the cut as i go, adjusting if necessary. I've skipped a lot of the cutting on this vid but I've got a few other videos which show the whole process.
  2. No worries Darrin. On another note , can one of the site mods please edit the name of the thread. I have no idea how to change it.
  3. A Few clips from a job back in feb. I have a lot of footage hanging around that I'm going to start playing with. Unfortunately there are a few clips missing from this job which is a shame but I hope you enjoy regardless [ame= ] [/ame]
  4. cool vid man.
  5. I've Only just had the chance to watch this one now mate lovely work as always mr stihlmad , constantly out there getting it done bro.
  6. That's a dyneema core , 10 or 10. 5 I can't quite remember , I wouldn't recommend that for anything other than an access line as its a bit to skinny not to mention there is almost no stretch whatsoever , even with a base tie . I like my lines static but I draw the line at dyneema .
  7. That's just my manky small tree line and its tachyon . I climb on sterling htp and cougar blue . The cougar is a good line for both srt and ddrt abd the htp is strictly for srt .
  8. Sorry mate , doesn't seem to want to let me message photos . I'll put them here Non retrievable redirect Second system Progress capture when traversing Static redirect Lower friction redirect (not really useful ) there are plenty more when you add different components like a figure 8 for example .
  9. It's just an inco Prussic, I didn't splice that one. I use it because I can girth hitch it to the becket of the pinto and having big eyes makes it easier to clip crabs into and move them around as I use ultra os. As for the setups I can take a few snaps and send them through to you . Very handy system .
  10. She was angry I caught her with a younger and better looking man . They were interested in what I was doing , she just looks angry because she's German ..... They look that way all the time
  11. To kind darrin , it's the camera angles haha
  12. Yeah it makes like a lot easier , I see a lot of guys using hand ascenders and 3 to ones and it's just extra clutter you don't need that inco and pinto I use for ddrt redirects , srt redirects , progress capture and a second system .
  13. Unfortunately my last vid I had to take down as the location it was filmed has a strict policy on cameras and filming so.... I thought i'd pop up into the forest and do a bit of traversing yesterday . I left the film a little longer as it shows a bit more of the process which May be useful for the guys who have just started using a hook Any questions feel free to ask
  14. That's a big Ol log mate , jack and I went up a fair way but decided if anything went wrong it would ruin our holiday in a very big and broken leg kinda way so we didn't go all the way up
  15. You girls are just so funny arn't you haha . Joe is right Mark , gag didn't come out until after the photo , the do things a bit differently over here
  16. it's pretty sweet man
  17. cheers Adam, it looks like you are having a good time over there though mate. Joe:lol:
  18. Don't get me wrong mate , I have fallen head over heals for the 150 but those fagus were just such epic climbing trees that i left it in the truck.
  19. it would be rude not to on wouldn't it Mark and yes Rich it made a lovely job just a little bit sweeter, I'm to lazy to double rope trees that big nowadays
  20. I know you lads are feeling it too, springs finally here we had a wicked day deadwooding some big ol Fagus and a selection of other trees in the pfalz yesterday..... so heres a clip i threw together https://youtu.be/b6t0jU80wo8
  21. Is that quite recent is it ? Yeah that photo was taken sitting on it. Good times , defiantly will be heading back in the next few years
  22. looks familiar Mario :big grin: I was a lot happier than i look in the photo but this is the only one i could scrounge up:001_tongue: Finding the grove was a definite highlight of the trip and it was sort of by accident. One of the guys went of on a hour long wander alone and happened to stumble across it.
  23. Nice Rich , exactly this:thumbup1: I also sometimes use it on bigger leaning laterals when using a "gob" in the tree as it stops the saw from getting dragged away in the kerf.
  24. Better bend radius and for a lot of people it's something that's already on the harness ...... It's also a lot easier to use in a tricky position then tying a Munter hitch
