1. Not sure how accurate that is I have just tried it on my wood and gained 5 acres. I am sure that is not tbe case. Only sure way to check is to measurd it
2. Sorry to hear this Tom they need their cutting off if they ever get caught
3. Mild and very windy here today Jon
4. Glad all was ok
5. Why don't we all try and get on instead of falling out with each other. I am sure we can all work together to make this business better
6. I have an oxdale 400 towable and finds it works well. However I only do enough logs for myself and two Sons each year. Honda engine and very light to move Around:thumbup:
7.
Hi Mark, did you get the email I sent to you recently

8. I have a Woodward stove and that burns all night. I fill it up just before I go to bed and close the stove down a bit, there are always hot embers in the morning so just put a log on and away it goes. I understand there are two types of stainless steel flue, one for multi flue and one for wood only but I am no expert.
9. Now I am really confused
10. The management plan cost £1000 to get drawn up and passed. I applied for a manag, event grant from the forestry commission and that was a £1000. The grant came with a 10year felling licence to cover the management plan work. I think you need 3?? Hectares of woodland to get the grant. I have a load of mixed broad leaved mature trees and a massive hornbeam boundary hedge. The consultant who did the management plan said the hedge needs cutting down to four foot high. It is about 30- 40 foot high. Never mind I will do what I can but get the big stuff cut down professionally as and when. I love spending my time in the wood and so does my Grandsons when they get the time. The wood was completely overgrown when I took it on and was impossible to walk through at least I can do that now.
11. That is brilliant Dan
12. I am near Tring in Hertfordshire
13. I bought ten acres about three years ago snd agin the woodland had not been managed. I had a management plan drawn up and am now slowly wirking through the wood. I wish I had someone to advise me fom time to time. Most of the scruub has been cleared now but there is still loads to do. Bought the wood for something to do in my retirement and also for my Grandsons to run wild.
14. Oil prices won't remain low for long it is only a matter of a short time. Loads of people keep buying log burners so will need wood to burn on them. The problem is that a lot of women don't like the slight dust you get with a log burner. I for one will keep burning logs as long as I am fit enough to get them
15. Sorry to sound like an idiot but how do the candles work
16. Very cold and sunny today Jon. Feels lovely and fresh and ideal for working. Been moving logs out of the wood!.
17. Very wet here Jon thanks LAurie
18. I had the same problem with my woodland, loads of trees were covered in ivy when I bought it. I cut the stems of the ivy at the base of the trees and it haas taken about a year for it to die off but depends on the size of the stem. The ivy had dried out now and has started coming away from the trees
19. Happy Christmas to everyone, I hope you all get the presents you want. Have a really good day and don't eat/ too much
20. That is great news Andrew, I have been travelling to the other side of Princes Risborough to get mine. Olivers will be a lot closer.
21. Try and work safely
22. I own a small woodland and use it mainly for pleasure. My insurance company state that as the owner I am covered to use a chainsaw but my Sons must have a basic qualification to use machinery. I agree with this totally
23. Mine is on 20" bar,my favourite saw by far
