  1. Go for it, it is lovely to be able to walk around and work in your own wood. The downside is expense on tools that are required e.g. chainsaws, brush cutters etc. but go for it
  2. I have 10 acres and don't have to pay the Council any rates etc. I have a public liability insurance which covers, (trespassers even though it is a private wood with no footpaths), fallen trees onto the road or damage to the farmers fields either side on the wood, and it also cover me and my Sons to use chainsaws etc. Friends and family are covered to come into the wood as well
  3. Report it to Amazon
  4. Tell us more Village idiot, what have you been reading????

  12. You are a wind up Jon
  13. They are both useless and cost will rise now, not much competition left. We will have to go back to two bean cans and string
  14. Blame the public, everyone wants cheap no matter the quality. Just stand back and watch people buying 2 for 1 etc. we would be better to support the small local suppliers and at least know that a lot of the produce is local and not like Tesco who supply produce from who knows where.
  15. fire going 24/7 here nice and cosy
  16. Could not agree with you more. Bread makers are worth their weight in gold
  17. I bought 10acres about 4years ago. The woodland was very overgrown but with a lot of hard work it has started coming round now. Equipment etc. has cost a lot but now that I have it is much better. Bought the wood for something to spend my time on and the family and friends use it for B-B-Qs and camping etc. use any wood that falls for the log burner. I found the wood while looking on the web and had been looking for quite a while. My wood is very close to me and I think that is important, we looked at several further away from where we lived but we are glad we didn't buy them as we might not have had s much use if we would have had to travel. We can just go for a walk around the wood when we feel like it because it is so close to us. Go for it as you won't regret it
  18. I would love to take my wife out but she is happier working in the wood with me. We get on very well and are very happy together. We laugh at simple things and never have been the people to keep wanting everything. We have what we want but are not materialistic and spend our money on the Grandsons. We been married 47 years and it seems like only yesterday
  19. I offered to take my wife on holiday and as I am almost 70 thought we could combine the two. My wife was not very keen so instead I am having a new husky 560xp. I have six Grandsons and two Sons which my wife dotes on so we are taking them all out for a meal ( we do this now and again. Looks like I am coming off best!!!!!!
  20. I had one fitted 3 years ago complete with liner and hearth total cost £2.500. The stove was a Woodwarm unit and so far it had worked very well. The company that fitted the stove was certified and produced a certificate at the end of the job
