I had to watch it 3 times to make sure I saw it correctly! What did he think would happen? We I suppose someone needs to keep the Heath and safety in business
  2. If all that wood in the video is for personal use I would like to see the size of his fire!
  3. Is it villa thermal das caldas de monchique? I was on holiday there last June. Lovely place
  4. Where is that I recognise it? Is it a hotel?
  5. Not really read the other comments but at the end of the day your at work to get paid not to get injured and if your sure your not being a girl not climbing the trees then fair play because there is always a safer way to do a job. Tape the site off till you can get the mewp there no harm done! Fudge the employer they know fudge all because there in the office with the heating on! I'm a climber of about 8 years and had 1 job I called it a day on because it was unsafe. I was a self employed climber on the job and the employer didn't have the correct gear and didn't plan the job so I took a step back a said told him the problem. The best thing is be honest, tell the it how it is and offer your harness as see if they do it if they don't do it you played the right card!
  6. I've a zigzag been playing in a lovely old beech today in hawes Yorkshire dead wooding it. Living the dream
  7. Take that as a no... Ouch lol
  8. Find someone with a big hole!
  9. Very nice glad your enjoying it but that comment you said there.'it feels so safe' puts me off wanting one as I can imagine it would be easy to get complacent and forget it's a dangerous tool. Also at the apf the girl at the husqy stand said they had to take off the chains on the elecy saws as people forgot they were dangerous, waving them around because of the fact there's no noise.
  10. Sounds good to me if any arbtalker welcome.
  11. I'd be interested in this, not a great climber but always willing for a climb
  12. Scrap the rope, a good set of wedges and sit the digger at the back pushing on it. So long as it doesn't have a backwards lean it will go no problem. I wouldn't climb it unless there's gold at the top! Hate ivy with a passion!

Very nice creative camera work, I've not long go the hero 4 and want to start off using it at work. What did you fasten the camera to the tree with when you felled the top off?
  15. I don't advise going out alone though as it's not best practice especially when your learning and don't work for free as it beats the objective of work.
  16. That's how I do my reductions, must have had the British standards book upside down
  17. I've been very interested in the elecy saws for a while glad to see the capability of the stihl!
  18. That's a good idea, does it move about much?
  19. What helmet you got?
  20. Yes I have the sticky pads for it but the curved pads don't fully stick down
  21. I've had a gopro hero 4 for a few months now but only just got round to cleaning my helmet up to stick it on but none of the sticky pads seem to fit well enough. The corners aren't stuck down because the curve is slightly different. Can you post some pictures of where you put yours or if you know a better way than the pads please share Thanks Tom
  22. They look very good quality well done
  23. Cheap option is to buy to maths sets and get the compasses from them and put your legs in the pencil holding bit. Do you climb trees that aren't being taken down?
  24. I don't recommend reducing palm trees
