  1. Cheers for the advice, regarding water soluble not sure I hope not as it's intended for outside, it says external use on the tin if that helps and I'll post a pic of the tin ...
  2. Ok thanks I'm not to clued up with this sort of thing so what grade sand paper would you use and how to thin the varnish with water?
  3. Can imagine she has a hard grip... Good for lifting heavy logs

    Bee Query.

Not a clue but some nice pictures there and good on you taking the time to help the bees, I worked for one guy on a large beech tree that had fell over with a bees nest in, the owner said we can just leave the timber with the hive in and cut up the rest to save the bees. I turned round and there the 'boss' was cutting up the hive with masses of bees everywhere, later I asked why he did it and he just said he wanted to see what it looked like!?
  6. He's probably having you on lol
  7. Pat on the back for being a brave boy!
  8. Very nice work a lot of time and effort gone into them
  9. Haha it will come back lovely in the spring
  10. But they you have 2 machines on the job and will take an extra man to operate the chipper?
  11. It will be for diseased trees which can't be extracted won't it?
  12. When I learnt all the saw maintenance carry on I remember being told to use a wire brush if the chain needed cleaning, never done it myself and as others say cut something else and if the chain is that bad should you be using it?
  13. I could never get on with the wire clip thing on these
  14. Good idea because they stink after a while!
  15. These are the ones I use, don't do that much chipping really but always using bigger saws on spikes so I figures better protection for the ears wouldn't go a miss
  16. Haha yer everyone said that it's just a natural hole I've not figured out how to fill it or even if to?
  17. Does this count? It hasn't been milled though just a knuckle off a sycamore that I saved from the firewood pile
  18. Very smart
  19. The pictures have been up once I saw a guy on scaffolding over a river? Nice idea keep more picture flowing
  20. So not all bad then! Just so long the customer pays?
  21. So a dismantle has turned into a good reduction lol, was looking forwards to more pictures from that job. What's the outcome then? Are you able to finish it at all?
  22. Real nice guy but he is going to have a serious accident if he carries on like that
  23. What camera is that taking black and white pictures?
  24. I wondered why a strange man was walking through and crushing my neighbours 1 meter high hedge with a silky in his mouth
  25. I'm not convinced this system is the way forwards, I look at these at the apf and you have to burn over a quarter of a containers worth of wood you dried to dry the wood in the container? Also the boiler seemed to loose heat before it got to the container, lack of insulation maybe?
