  1. Ha yer true but don't quote me on that it might be worth taking it to your local shop that deals with them and windle a new one
  2. Yer I know a mix of banter but there's no point making to easier for them?
  3. Do you do this so if your gear is stolen on a site the thieving sum can go to your yard and finish you off?
  4. Just pick the catkins annually 😎. Topping won't solve anything as next years growth will have catkins surely. Best option would be to not buy the house in the first place but as the customer is always right... Fell and replant with a native tree that doesn't produce catkins.

    Bow Saw

    300. Anything less is just comedy
  6. Surely this is the kind of thing your wanting to stop? Bad language is also a breach of rules is it not?
  7. If you come into trouble in a tree with a mechanical device and you don't know how to tie a prussic then your in trouble. Most mechanical devices can't be added mid line as a rescue device.
  8. What rich said Bob said
  9. I use both the 540 and the 201. Imo there both balls and I prefer my 200 all day. 14" bars on all saws but I feel the husky is underpowered and suits the 12" bar better but I can't stand 12" bars! When I next need a saw it will be the 201. Best of a bad bunch I think. Mechanically had no problems with any of the saws but I think that husky needs to quit building there saws out of Lego (other toys available lol)
  10. £100 a day for a groundy with limited experience is more than fair. I'm a fairly competent climber with 6 working years experience. I live in the north west and charge £130 a day with saws (and if hedge work with trimmers) also charge the same for groundying but again I pull my weight and can work ropes well. To me this guy sounds like a £100 a day man chancing being greedy. I'd explain to him what he's worth or find another groundy.
  11. Maybe a daft question but is there a reason you can't use a chainsaw? You can pick up a ms 170 from jonsies for £180 whereas the sugio is £70. For a little extra cash it will save you a lot of effort!
  12. You can see in the pictures the bottom half of the box section is rusty so it's been split for a while. It's only the top side that has been freshly sheered.
  13. I would probably hire someone else's chipper
  14. I don't think that will be as affective on soft ground
  15. Thanks for all the replies had a quote to fit a truma go for £920 today.i was hoping for half that money so I'll be looking for a second hand device I think.
  16. Keep us updated on this. What chipper are you fitting it to?
  17. The main reason I need one is for putting it away at night. Tight lane with boggy ground each side the van keeps getting stuck. Car can do it fine but it's a fad swapping daily. Just thought it would be easier to move itself. Also would be handy on tight driveways etc
  18. Anyone put a caravan motor mover on a road tow chipper before? Is it possible?

    ArbDogs? Pics!

Looks like the dog on the left has got his lipstick out haha
  20. Na I wouldn't give it the satisfaction, the amount of birds and other wildlife that cat would have tortured in it's life time. Deserves the same IMO. As you can tell I'm not a cat lover lol
