  1. Well if he has the pot and piston and the chain break stuff is ok I'm in.
  2. Oh ok. No problems. Thought it was about stuff closer to home.
  3. A new piston may help IF that's the issue. The cylinder could be goosed but depends if its been seized or not. Doesn't sound like the chain was sharp for a start. So lots of dust, engine sucking air all day equals clogged filter. And I would bet if this is the case the fuel filter will be bunged aswell. Clean it all and try again.
  4. IMO I think it's a fantastic saw.... Oh right it's meant to be a working model not one of those models with a label that says "how NOT to make a chainsaw"....
  5. I will be looking for a chain break assembly for it. I ground out the pot today. The ports are tiny and there is a lot of room for grinding in them I noticed. Started on the exhaust but it was home time. Will get back to it soon.
  6. Hahahahahaahahaha. I just showed my five year old the listing and he picked up almost every spelling and grammar error this guy made. First thing that struck me was the dark photos.
  7. Sorry am I missing something. Not interested in the joke but what news about a dead girl are you talking... I've had my head burried in the bench today so no news on.
  8. This could be the next victim to me having a go at porting. It has no chain break and is a nice old saw but its not stihl so I'm going to look at it and see what I can come up with. Anyone know if pot and piston is available for it. Not sur eon the number as all I can see is a what looks like a 1 and the others are 0 and 9. So thinking its 109. That's all I can make out so far.
  9. The two small flat tabs face upwards. It's actually easy to notice for me now its happend as you can pull it off the wrong way up easily yet it holds fast the right way up. Kicking myself around the workshop for not noticing it sooner...
  10. One ms200t stripped cleaned and awaiting new seals and bearings. (Below). Finally got to the bottom of the 200t with vertigo. The plate holding the carb boot to the cylinder was upside down causing it to work lose and let air into the cylinder.....
  11. I hill billy way to test the flywheel is to hang some tools from the magnets. See how many it holds before it lets go. So a spanner or two. Then find a flywheel the same size and do the same thing. Most you can feel with a screwdriver and the pull of the magnets. I found this with a 088 and an old flywheel from a 036, the 036 grabbed the screwdriver for my hand yet the 088 didn't. Try another ht lead from another coil. Although you have said you changed the coil so I'm not drawn to the coil. Check the wires by the switch aswell. When its on no wires should be touching anything.
  12. Grad a spade and start digging. If the handle starts to get hot quick you have found power. If it hisses. You have found gas and if you get wet but its now raining you have hit water. And if the bloke next door hits you on the nose you have hit the tv/phone cable.:lol::lol:
  13. Ok. Just worried I had the right tool in my head then. You mean the service detection device. If you walk the site in a grid like fashion marking every time it bleeps you will end up with lots of marks. Some will mean nothing. Others will mean pipes etc. when you walk a line and it bleeps do a spray line or arrow pointing int he direction you are walking. After doing these a lot you will end up arrows that point the way a line is going. Ifyou only get one marker that isn't in line with any others discard this as its probably something else. As I said use it on a service you know is there and can follow it a bit. They take a bit of setting up with type and depth or strength of signal but easy when they are done. Just follow the instructions or ask the hire service to give you a quick brief on the tool. Think of it like a big metal detector.
  14. They are easy. Hire one and have a bit of a play first if never used one. Find a service you know is there then wave it over the top. Can of spray is essential aswell. Just spray when ever it bleeps and you markers will give it away.
  15. Find the number and call them back trigger.... Ask them where your cheque has got to.
  16. That's good. Just a small question that was bugging my for a while now. Sounds stupid I know. And yes I can see the velocity out the chute when I'm using it. It does fly at some knots.
  17. I love greenmech. There is one thing that I must ask as its been bugging me for a while now. On the cm220 the out Shute is round into square... But on all others I have noticed its round all the way. Did this change happen for a reason or is it just the way it is? Thanks for the pm by the way.
  18. Oh. Just reminded me about greenmech. I'm looking for the part number for a set of top and bottom in feed rollers. I've got the parts books but no number in them. It's for the cm220 think its the 55d but need to double check. It's the engine driven not the pto driven....
  19. You can have them done for harassment aswell. If hey call you and you ask them to remove you from there list they must oblige. If they call you again its harassment.... I hate these companies and its always good to have a laugh with them. I keep them going by asking lots of questions then I will tell them I have a huge bill and if they clear it I will join them (for the gas and lecy ones anyway) they soon hang up on me. The scam one has been around for a while. It's easier to just hang up straight away. Another one a while ago was a bt one. They phone claiming to be from bt and say you owe them money or they will disconnect you. There way of proving it was that they will hang up and let you try to call out, but they have just put you on private mode so the line is still connected to them and you can't dial out. They then hang up and call you back. It's a simple scam but has worked on lots of people. I don't blame the people who fall for it but the people who make the scams. They can be really convincing.
  20. How wide is the water? Could you not just drop a net accross to catch the tree if it floats down stream after dropping it? The net would then catch anything else that goes in.... Like your saw. surely climbing would be ok as if you went over it would be a softer landing than on hard ground... The net could be attached by long line that goes further up past the tree so you could pull it in once tree is over and haul in the tree or bits that it catches... Just a thought.
  21. Yep fitting genuine parts is a must if services are for trade. Wouldn't want anything to come back because the parts have been sub standard. If its your own tool then go for it and let us know how it goes. On another note what are the thoughts on porting an old dolmar saw?
  22. Did you grease the new needle bearing by any chance???
  23. Right who has the number so I can change all my details on my disco for when I use it for shipping crew about........... •RNLI & Coastguard vehicles when used for transporting lifeboats, appliances or crew
