  1. Mine is really easy. "Don't ask, don't get" If you never ask you will never know. It can only receive two answers. Yes or no.
  2. So what's everyone's thoughts on the ideal workshop space? Looking at setting up a new workshop and been looking at sizes. But the square feet thing confuses me a bit.. So forfeiting saws and mowers. What size would anyone recommend getting???
  3. No just a bit confused. Think it was gardenkits fault asking a question half way through a thread. If you have not had a seized saw using your usual fuel oil mix then don't worry over it.
  4. This thread has me confused now. Jon your saws will be fine as long as you mix the right amount of oil in t the fuel each time. Don't worry about it. If you worried about seizing our saw all the time your ill never use it. So nothing heard of the op now. I guess his saw is fine then?
  5. Don't ask me what this one is like as we all know the white box ones are rubbish rings. But could try a new piston after the pot has been cleaned out. PISTON ASSEMBLY COMPATIBLE WITH STIHL 084 088 MS880 | eBay
  6. If they have been notified that the hole exists then yes you can claim off it. Getting them to admit that is another matter. Get pics use a scale. For future reference the lines are that if they have not been informed of the hole before the accident then there is nothing they can do. As if they don't know about it they can't do anything about it, and they are only responsible for they hole after they have been made aware.
  7. My size 13 feet are a pain. I found the Oregon ones fitted fine with a bit extra room for thick socks.
  8. Ok then serious time. Why do you need new pot and piston. Is the old one damaged beyond repair?? Can you get some pics up of the old one. Need some more info into why, some pots and pistons can be saved some can't. Sometimes the pot can be saved and just a piston needed.
  9. Find the nearest rocking horse and wait for it to drop something out its backside.
  10. No problem. I'm glad to hear its getting used. It rough around the edges but it was a good gun to me.
  11. Possibly. Dependant on how much you took out of it. If in doubt leave more. With porting and I'm not that much of an expert but you will discover that less is more. Even a little bit removed will have a big impact. Work it out bit at a time until you are happy. Even if it means taking the saw apart doing a it then testing the saw out. It's easy to keep removing bits than taking too much in one go.
  12. Yes sorry muffler aswell. It's easy to do the gasket on the cylinder and then transfer the gasket to the muffler and copy it that way. I'm just thinking a out loud hear but I don't think the scallops have been taken out by spud. I could be wrong. Think it was a warning to look out for these and remember them when measuring and marking the piston.
  13. Don't forget lakey to put the exhaust gasket back on the cylinder and grind that down to the new port size or all the efforts will be for nothing.
  14. Not anymore mark. The good old public are doing it more as its been said the tips are charging now for households.
  15. But did you pick up the timber??? Fly tippers are my number one hate. When working on a farm I always has to clear up crap from gateways that had been dumped. It was also doing this that I got jabbed with a dirty needle. Knelt down and it went into my leg. Biggest scare I've ever had. There is only one thing I would love to do to them. I hate them more than our mobile home friends.
  16. So that's the new a team van you were telling me about. Looks good. That bench looks a big much just for one saw
  17. Send it over to me. I will sort it in a few mins. Where abouts in Sussex are you to me. By the way yes it's farely easy to do. Takes longer to get the clutch off than change the springs.
  18. Yes ok. So it's not in the post I just need to get if my backside and go down there. I don't go in there that often unless it a Sunday and nowhere else is open...
  19. Show off :lol: Mines in the post.
  20. Put this one down o experience and put your hand in your pocket
  21. Sorry you called....
  22. Ok. Try taping the socket with a mallet when trying to undo it. The pull cord method has worked every time for me in the past. It does tend to go at times and I end up with bruised knuckles after punching the bench.
