  1. Yeah maybe this year I will start some adverts going. Might try the local paper forst and see where that leads.
  2.:lol: I had to read that twice before it hit me.
  3. Loving the four tracked rigid vehicles..
  4. I don't think I have actually done any saws for the non professionals yet.... They all seem to be from the professional user. Maybe I'm just not advertising myself enough..
  5. Hahahahahaahahaha that's takes me back. Farting cowboys. [ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R6dm9rN6oTs]Blazing Saddles --Farting Cowboys- Greatest Fart Scene of All Time - YouTube[/ame]
  6. Ah good ole quentin Tarantino. Now there is a man that really needs some help (mentally)
  7. Yeah and I wounder how many people they asked actually use there land rovers rather than doing the school run or only getting them out in bad weather..... It's like a saw. They have to be used and abused or they just don't last long. Or they have to be kept maintained.
  8. I done the lantra course but the nptc assessment. I really didn't think there was anything the lantra part left out to be honest.

    Rnli

For those around the Dover area. The Dover RNLI will be doing car washing in the asda/morrisons car park this Saturday the 26th between 9.30 and 3.30 a suggested contribution for this is £5. Of course this suggested but its all for a good cause. As far as I know we will not be doing vans (unless a big donation is made ) But 4x4 are welcome. So if anyone knows anyone in the area please pass the message on. We need to raise as much as possible. Thank you all for reading.
  10. I can't. Knock my 1990 disco. 200tdi. Pulls like a freight train. Gives good mpg IMO. And with the option of 7 seats a day out with family is no problem. Plus being able to pull a trailer aswell. Only had one real problem and that was a new water pump. Needs new batteries but that just normal IMO. I've had all sorts of cars and this one is staying.
  11. I missed it the first time and didn't see what he done. What a complete tool.
  12. Would the husky not be better to port out? I've tried porting once and it went wrong so I'm waiting for a knackerd saw to come along so I can try again. You can post the saw to spud with not much trouble. Porting is more complicated than it looks. If the old stihl is not very powerfull but a old have you tried a service on it and cleaning out the exhaust. Just a simple clean out can make the gasses run more freely without going to the trouble of porting it out. You say near kent. Just where abouts in kent are you? I'm not going to offer to port it for you as I will admit its not my strong point. Have you comp tested the stihl. May be low in comp causing it not to run as powerfull as it should. It is old after all.
  13. Run away thread......
  14. Watched a wierd one with the other half a while ago. The pact. It was one of those films that you just sit and watch then at the end you kind of think why you just sat there and watched it.... It wasn't rubbish just a bit wierd...
  15. Just had to re read that post.... You got your missis to do something???.? Please let us in on the secret to this so I can get mine to....
  16. Or splitting maul. One tool two jobs
  17. Just looked at the trailer for flowers of war on YouTube. I'm going to have to get that one. Looks quite good.
  18. Hello just looked in on your other thread. Welcome. The ms261 would suffice for most of what's there in the picture. I've just completed my cs30 and 31 and its a definite must. There was so much I learnt about felling, cutting and more importantly safety of the saw and use. The maintenance was a bit of a bore for me as I fix them but is till learnt a few things. The felling part that is the cs31 I learnt a LOT about using the saw and getting a tree down on t he ground, but I learnt about if a tree gets hung up and the best practice to get it on the ground in the safest way. For if it was done wrong you could really hurt yourself. The ms261 or the ms260 is perfect for doing the 30 and 31 course. Most places have saws and ppe you could use anyway but it's always nice to use your own as you learn maintance and get used to using you own saw well. Good luck with the move and enjoy your new place.
  19. Well I must say I agree with most of the posts on here. It could have been a lot better and a lot more informative than it was. Seemed that there was conflicting answers over ppe, one saying there is none that will stop a chainsaw and the other saying there are trousers that will bounce a chainsaw off them. That small and IMO pointless bit of radio was both confusing and well and truly uninformative. So when someone uses scaffolding around a tree near power lines and kills themselves and possibly someone else it will be ok as they said so on the radio. And I'm not sure about anyone else but it's a bit damn cold to wear swimming trunks to work. Plus I'm sure I would get some good laughs in them.....
  20. Just started listening to it on I player. Go to Jeremy vine show and skip ahead to 1.41.00 its the start of it. Not too impressed with the first question about having a three year old walk up behind you.... Well lets see what else gets said then.
  21. Oh man on fire is a must see. I loved that film. But then anyone with Washington in it is good. Another I missed is shooter.
  22. Air filter. Fuel filter, spark plug. And then the usuall bar dress, chain sharpen, clean it, check comp, give it a pressure test. Run it in some wood to ensure its running ok. That's what I do anyway.
  23. Taken, the grey, expendables 1 and 2, 127 hours I think it's called. The climber who gets trapped by a boulder. Has to cut his own arm off. A true story. Blooming good film that
  24. Sunshine and warmth here. Snow is melting away.
  25. I look for the skips outside houses when I'm driving around. Have been lucky in the past and got hold of a 3m length of work top one was throwing out. Havnt needed any in a while. But for 65 quid b and q have some.
