  1. Oh oh oh I know I know. It's the spool valve controls from the lever...
  2. What's that your saying pat... I can't see what you are writing its just a load of dots. :001_tt2::lol::lol:
  3. I was going to say tensioners for some belt system. But I'm not too sure.
  4. Wolf. It is a pull out pump. You should see a screw thread on one side. Use a bolt and screw it into it then pull it out. If that makes sense. If not try the parts list manual gives a good idea how to remove it. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/aaa09e8lr644gwb/bsmzbHGrFm/025%20-%201123.pdf
  5. In my book its a huge no no. It's not designed for every day use on ground. And the only selling to cs39 operators is purely a husky stihl thing. It's not actual law. I hate seeing them being used on the ground and I'm waiting for one to bite...... This is why they have the rear handle 200 out. If you want a light saw on the ground buy one of those. Or should I say the rear handle 201. Plus I REALLY wouldn't want a modded 200t kicking back on the ground. If you look at the design of the top handle the chain break handle is a lot smaller and closer to the handle so it will engage a lot sooner than a standard rear handle but it is still not good practise to use one on the ground.
  6. Mick. I have some interesting news on that boat. If you are still looking at it. No pics I'm afraid as it was dark tonight and couldn't get there but. One of the mechanics at the lifeboat worked on it last year. He put a new main sail and new radar reflector on it. He said it was looking perfect when he done it. No other problems to say about it. And it still looks like the pics. Also checked the prev records and no call puts to it by us. Hope this still helps rich.

I would go with spuds description of why the damage is there. Someone using the exhaust as a piston stop. But if they knew what they were doing they would have done it properly in the first place. The base gasket would need replacing. The pot will need inspecting before some serious damage is done to it. As its been said they are hard to come by unless you want to spend mega money getting another. Most of the time it's not viable to buy another pot and just get another saw. Looks like meteor don't do the 088 but Is worth asking. Might just not be listed. If the pot can be cleaned its worth doing. As IMO the 088 is a monster and much better than the 880 buts that's just my opinion.
  8. Ok. So I've been looking into meteor pistons and I can order direct from supplier. But I need to build up an order of 300 euros to do so. The prices will also be plus vat as I'm not vat registered. Just need to put a few orders in and see what the prices are. There total list of chainsaw pistons are here but they do other types for othe rmachines. Meteor Piston Gardening - Forestry Products Catalog It's a bit of a trial run to see of its worth ordering anything from them. But if anyone is interested then please let me know.
  9. Big boys toys..... I like a LOT. Any jobs going

Fine. Here is one I made for the step fathers b day a short while ago. I did make a stihl 200t cake aswell last year. Should really get the baking trays out more regular.
  11. Jimmy smith did try and get some therapy. Really didn't work. There is one saying from dustin I will always remember.... "He's been doing this that long he is starting to sound like a chainsaw". And I've heard a few people in arb that are the same

Get some pics up. Not sure about the scoring as normall the piston and compression still won't effect the fuel not going to carb.
  13. Hodge that's old news mate. Died before Xmas. Probably heart attack the way he used to shout at his son.

After cranking over take the fuel pipe off the carb and see if fuel spills from the pipe. Do this before removing the fuel cap. It will give good indication as to if the fuel tank is pressurising pushing fuel into the carb. You could also slacking off the fuel cap if the above doesn't work to see if tank breather is working aswell.
  15. What series is it? I only got one and two. Still looking for the rest.
  16. It's to do with the glue used in a sticker. Some will use a glue that will eat into the helmet and weaken the plastic. Something along those lines. I've never really believed much on it. I do know that some don't like stickers as they can "hide" the hat making you less visible, and from a machine point of view a big white or orange or blue ball moving around is easier to spot amongst rubble or dirt piles.
  17. Hmmm. Even with the comp button (sissy button) out the saw should still turn over even be it stiff. Take the plug out. Does it pull over well every time without the spark plug? Hard to believe the comp would be that high for it to completely stop the saw turning over.
  18. Ok mick. That's the good part of being in the lifeboat. Means I can go woundering around the berths. Nosing at all the different attachments on the boats of course......... Will get a pic and even tho its a bit cheeky will also ask if we have had any call outs to that particular vessel last year. Oh and for the pic the lifeboat house is now standing where the blue banner is on the pic. http://rnli.org/findmynearest/station/Pages/Dover-Lifeboat-Station.aspx
  19. Just seen that pic mick. Lifeboat house is just behind it on key side. Although that pic is and old one as the new boathouse isn't built yet and the house is two years old now. If you want next time I'm down there I can get a good look at her if you like. Now back to boats. Here is one I'm waiting for the right job to use in arb. He it's own crane and everything.
  20. Black would indicate a rich mixture. Does it make any difference hot or cold? Could be flooding out. Are the h and low screws at factory setting?
  21. What colour was the plug when you pulled it out?
  22. I've never heard it called a spike before. Dogs, bumper spikes. But never just a spike. Plus you never know what people can call various parts on a saw. Like the doby whatsit. That connects to the thingamajig.
  23. Funny everyone ha said the 200t but none have said if its a modded one or standard...
  24. The climber always uses the bungee strops. Never uses any other kind. Just what happened on a job this week and got me thinking about other options as the only ring on a motion is right around the back. He said its annoying reaching around for the saw.
  25. This is also true. But the part that went on the harness was the red webbing on the back. Sewn on and the stitching gave way. The saw didn't get snagged on anything and fell a decent height. Just glad the saw has 9 lives as it was a modded one that I done and I really don't want to have to repair it again. It's only for the saw to hang from the harness and not for anything to do with life if you know what I mean. Just a saw on a tool strop. So if there was a need for the saw to break away from the climber the strop would go, wouldn't it?
