  1. Know the feeling, doing a job on two Cypress trees ATM. Both butchered on main stem ten years ago. Top butchered. Most of the growth is in neighboring gardens. Client wants them "pruned" to keep neighbors happy. advised total removal, wants the trunks to remain. He will have two cacti cypress and is happy with this. The customer is always right.
  2. Any missing Timberwolf or green mesh chippers in the programs?
  3. Poncho, ground sheet. Easy carry around, easy to assemble, keeps you warm and dry.
  4. Agree with above. Two hands are better than one. Why take the risk. You may end up one handed on a top handle saw..
  5. Agree Garden Kit with the mix. I always use fresh pump petrol and mix exact amounts, have no problems. Aspen fuel is mad expensive in Rep of Ire. Anyway love the smell of two stroke, especially before breakfast..
  6. For cs 38' Harness, lid, lanyard, two carbs, and friction hitch (prussic) and 1/2"rope 45m pole = spikes, ring or fig 8, woopie sling/rope, two slings, friction saver and personal first aid kit.
  7. Here is a link I found useful.. Samson: The Strongest Name in Rope, Utility Products It's all about knitting and sewing for arbs. A womans work is never done.... Good luck with it..
  8. Have a Ranger myself, any pics of it? What chip cage you put on it? Converting mine ATM.
  9. Agree Ben, I keep the wife in the truck when the saws are going..
  10. 69 lbs per cu.ft. At 18" diameter.
  11. On Saturday I was pumping sweat, , on Monday my fingers were frozen solid. , Keep the cold, give me sweat anytime. Hard to climb with numb fingers..
  12. It still not a stihl.. Is your safety not an issue? I have a diy saw my bro gave me, as he thought it was a great idea to cut up logs, I left for him on a pruning job. I use it on dense ivy infested trees, as you never know what barbed wire or fencing staples are around. Won't use my Stihl stuff on this type of work. The saw is very erratic. God help d.I.y.ers . In the wrong hands these saws are lethal.
  13. Have a duo. It is brilliant. Never pinches or chafes. You must have it set up wrong. I love the wide leg straps and the back support. Also have a shoulder rig on mine, great if you have to reach nearly up-side-down.
  14. Two colored invoices one black ( customer copy ) one blue ( your copy ). Carbon paper. Make up your own invoice book.
  15. Two hands are better than one.
  16. Full chisel aren't hard to sharpen. Still new file system the business..
  17. Spot on. Most likely these items are sold in early morning markets. Home owners will buy to save a few bob on cutting up logs. Bigger items will travel to different countries. We all should stick together and say " yes mate" no cash on me. Giz a mobile no and will sort you out..literally..
  18. Agree, I am at present investigating the use of GPS transmitters on gear. Will post findings. A mate uses them for tracking heavy plant and trucks, etc.
  19. Tell him the price did not include vat. I hate junkies. Site specific risk assessment, is a must. It takes a few minutes but worth it. Bad enough silky scabbing you, but junky needles...
  20. How much? Must get welding again.. Love the boot push..
  21. In Ireland anyone can buy a chainsaw, ground or climbing. Same for shredders and stump grinders. Hire is the same. No ticket required.
  22. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members/dog-tag-albums-splicing-picture4997-splice-3-4th-attempt.html Here is another attempt, need to get the eyes the same size..
  23. As a new member, I find it one of the best. There is a little bit of banter, great advice, I have learned heaps on here. There is a bit of slagging, but that's part of all forums. We are all here to learn, give advice, opinions and facts, sometimes!!!! Great work by the mods. Where do they find all the time? Thanks lads and laddy's.
  24. Got a few cricket balls to the head in my heyday, loads of blood. Silly point with out a lid, silly bollocks. Never got stumped.. Hope you are ok. Lots of bruising tomorrow...
