  1. AlvinD, a short piece of branch hit me on the side of the helmet, from a chipper today. Lucky I had a lid on. It came back quicker than I threw it in. Lesson learned, stand to the side of a chipper.

  6. Be confident, read your stuff prior and good work position, as said by all. stay safe and good luck.
  7. Martin, you should do a CS 30 course before buying a chainsaw. This is the only tool a human can use without a safety guard. It will teach you safety, maintenance and how to use it properly. It's not a bushman. Better to cut the wood, than your self. Money well spent. You will save in the long run through maintenance costs alone. Stay safe.

  16. Totally agree. I do a lot of Ivy removal. Hate it but it's better than chop it down. It's ugly. Always try to give a tree a second chance. More Cs 40 courses should be attended than cs 41s. After all we are in the tree care business. It's a great feeling to rescue a tree and come back a few years later and see your work. Return = more money. Dismantle = lost revenue, bit of firewood sales. Keep it up Littletree..
  17. Any harness can be used for climbing. It is a different story when used in the work place.
