    Saw advice

395 is a stonking saw . Responds well to porting ( ask spud ) . I still have mine and it runs a 36" .404 no problem .
  3. Oh . Yep . Understood > Its not me honestly . Its a fit up guv .
  4. Strides have come along way since I started and no way would I go back to wearing ba pair of sleeping bags round my legs but I would suggest you get what is reqired for your tickets then make your own mind up as to what you will use in the future .
  5. Oh yea its not legal to view content that you would normally pay for from Sky or others but it works and who polices it ? . You get all the free to air stuff and all the stuff you should pay for . Any one got one ?
  6. Any one here running a Z Gemma H2 box with " the gift " ? Sky has just put their prices up again and I am going quit with them . My mate has one and pays a geezer £20 a year and gets everything streamed . The lot . All " free " . All the sport , all the movies , all the pay for view etc etc etc . Initial cost of Z gemma box then the £20 a year for the " gift " . It seems like a no brainer to me . Have I missed anything ?
  7. And that is why it takes so long to get up in the morning
  8. If you don't use WOT when cutting are you not getting less lube to the moving parts ?
  9. Unless you use a Sugihara light weight pro bar then its all the chain and not the bar rail
  10. This is what I think ( wrongly or rightly ) It is as Dave says ware . You get ware on the rivet joints which becomes clearance on the fit . The chain when being pulled on the underside of the bar " stretches " and when being pushed on the top of the bar " compresses " . Its because of this clearance in the joints that the drive links still sit in the sprocket . Add in some ware to the under side of the tie straps and the rails of the bar and you get a " farmers chain "
  11. When it says that a new chain is " pre stretched " do they mean " pre worn "
  12. I think you can get a small spline 3/8 .
  13. I am of the same opinion as you . It was a failed attempt at mirth ......

Put your logs somewhere else . Somewhere with air flow but a roof to keep rain off .
  17. 1550 eh ? Should be seasoned by now .
  18. You are all missing something here . You will go to prison unless you do ALL your carving off the ground .
  19. If its going to be wrong,I prefer slightly on the slack side rather than a tad too tight .
  20. Kinda what I thought ( and said )
  21. I have noticed foxes barking at night earlier this month and now owls hooting . All calling for mates . And this morning was much lighter of late allowing me to see and hear the wall to wall sound of the jackaws as they come off roost and temporarily darken the encroaching dawn ! Spring is lurking Silky !
  22. What no body realizes is there is a dog crouched down just out of shot keeping them there .
