On the Jenson A 540 I put a big log in and hit the stop bar halfway through . This holds the rollers open and you can dig the crud out from under the roller spigot .

Just about the right spacing after second thinnings though

I Planted some Oaks I had grown from seed in pots . They were about knee high when I put them in . ( they were for my own pleasure and not a paying job ) They lasted a 3 weeks and succumbed to a tractor and flail . Razzed off to the ground .

All trees vary it seems . Look at these 2 beech edge trees . Only just started whilst all the others are in full leaf just about .
