  1. So a parkland tree , say a holm oak , spreads in all directions but a plantation tree goes strait up because its competing for the light is...... not the case ?

  3. It will go after the light when it is established . I would not worry about it .
  4. Just make the hole wide enough to accommodate you planting the root ball at an angle to bring the stem upright .

  10. This is true . My latest did not come off until 8 months . I have found with spaniels you are constantly training them until the are near retirement . Working Cockers anyway .

  14. As an aside . Is it a Mk 1 ? If so you might as well replace the belly pan and rear AV spring with the updated parts while it apart . If its a Mk 2 then you will have all that already .

    The above is true . ( I use pliers on the thumb screw ) Other than that I have found , dependent on wood species , the amount of wallop required to make it stay in the log differs . Some you need to clout it hard to make it stay and in others if you clout it hard it bounces out but will stay with a lighter tap .
